I think governments should support indie animation more. It's such a beautiful medium and requires so much care and effort. Definitely needs to be preserved in this dark dark world

This is my subjective opinion of course, not an objective view or a rule. Its just a wish of mine. Its how renaissance happened after all, government supported artists and such amazing art occured especially in Italia. But this is probably only possible for well-off countries and not under-developed ones like the above commenters said :(

I'm a musician/composer/songwriter (41 M) from Indonesia. To be very honest, I do really wish I could have something like this, a beautiful team studio full of talented, passionate, & visionary people working together creating something beautiful & inspiring. But sadly, in reality, it never happened here. Dear Usman Riaz, you truly have the talents, support, & to be honest, also probably privileges & luck of making all these dreams become reality, where not everyone can do this, even if they really want to. Honestly, I feel both bittersweet, somewhat envious, but also deeply touched & moved by this beautiful, heartwarming project. As a Ghibli fan myself, I'm really waiting to watch this beautiful animated movie. I'm sure its deep message would be able to really touch a lot of people's hearts deeply not just only for Pakistani people, but also people all across & around the world/planet.

I never thought, in all of my life, that we'd ever get to see an animated film made in Pakistan. There are no words to describe how much of a pleasant surprise this is. The production team of glassmaker specially Usman Riaz and his way of telling the story behind the making of this film seems so inspiring and encouraging to watch. Specially the quote he mentioned “bloom where you are planted” has taken a significant place in my mind. I really hope the movie gets all the love and recognition it deserves. I’m really proud of each and every member of production team.

I know how miraculous this project is and understand that there is an unfathomable amount of work involved. The sense of how much perseverance was needed hit me for some reason with that shot. Hand drawn animation and comic books should be considered some of the highest forms of art. Artists able to draw characters and creation straight from their head, w/o reference, even creating new things, is something very incredible compared to studio artists who have to draw from life, still lives, and models.

Just the word "innocence" juxtaposed with the portrait Usman painted of life growing up in post-9/11 Pakistan brought tears to my eyes. For a child to have their purity snatched away from them by the sheer brutality of conflict - it is enough to rend the soul. No one should ever be subjected to such a heinous crime. Cannot wait to watch this movie and be a blubbering mess through all of it!

The movie is really awesome. I feel it from my deepest part of heart and respect the creator who made this masterpiece movie. In my view it should release worldwide and the creator should really be suppoted. Waiting for next animation.

Just the word "innocence" juxtaposed with the portrait Usman painted of life growing up in post-9/11 Pakistan brought tears to my eyes. For a child to have their purity snatched away from them by the sheer brutality of conflict - it is enough to rend the soul. No one should ever be subjected to such a heinous crime. Cannot wait to watch this movie and be a blubbering mess through all of it!

As a Pakistani Indie filmaker. I literally cried seeing Glasswork as a Pakistani animation film. I know the pain you guys have gone through bringing a dream to life. Kudos to Usman and all other people who supported them financially beliving in them. Guys just don't stop keep bringing more.
