This is one of the most overlooked and best pistol ever made. It's built like a tank and it will last you a life time. I've had many different HKs in the past. This is by far my favorite.
I have 5 H&K's. My P2000 is a 40 and it is one of the softest shooting forties I've shot. I have a USP40C. I like the P2000 better. It is fully ambidextrous. The USP's are not. The USP Compact trigger is a bit nicer.
I have the P2000 and 2000sk also a P30L. Both 2000’s are LEM triggers and I freaking love these guns. I will be converting the P30L to LEM if possible, it’s the Da/Sa decocker now which feels very very close to the lem. So I may leave as is. Just love these hk’s but the P2000’s are my fave. I had a VP9 and it’s just not the same love ! Sold it. Can’t ever see me getting rid of these 3 weapons !
I agree this is the best hk and softest shooting of any others I’ve had or tried. I have a .40 and also got a 9mm barrel and spring and now I can use either reliably. Same mags.
Those rubber magazine base plates were meant to absorb impact when dropped on the ground. We had them on our mags for our USP Compact & P2000s on 40 cal before we transitioned to the Glock 47. Sometimes they'd tear, & the firearms guys would just give us another mag. Thanks to you, I now know I could buy an aftermarket replacement that isnt rubber. I'm working on getting myself P2000
Thanks! I love it, took some getting used to. Personally made me a lot better with the P30 SK I had which I can only describe as a LEM-adjacent SA trigger (though I prefer that to the "Dead" take-up of my SIG P220, even though the SIG has a better DA/SA overall...for now, even with the SRT trigger I don't think it'll beat the Lazy Wolf 1mm reset LEM trigger job they can do that Sean Burrows here on youtube and the HK shooting team has done. Also thinking of doing a LEM/SA hybrid, so essentially the "DA" shot would be the same as the SA but just more takeup for the first shot. Whereas the LEM...well you know how it works! Thanks for the video!
I absolutely HATED the small magazine release paddle on my new 2022 HK P2000. Added the HK45C extended mag release which came in the mail today. What a VAST improvement. The VP9 17 round magazines, with X-Grip magazine spacers, are a nice addition as well. TIP: If your X-Grip magazine spacers annoyingly slide up and down the magazine, run some non-shiny electrical tape around where the the installed spacer should be, 1-2 circumferences will suffice, and then slide the spacer over the black tape at the base of the magazine. They'll insert into the pistol just as easily, stay in place, and still drop free when released.
Sort of random, but do the proof marks and S/N on the slide have rust in them? Sort of looks like it, but can't tell in the video. I have that problem with my P2k.
With the oversized mag release, I've noticed some people accidentally dropping the mag with my full size USP. Personally, I prefer the USPC over the P2K. I like the ergonomics a bit better
From what I heard this is people who have added the ext. mag release when they've already fit the holster to the gun with the stock mag release OR they use this as a conceal carry and it happens when pressed up against the body....gotta fit the holster to the new mag release or decide if you wany this as a conceal or not. There is a reason conceal guns have lower profile controls.
I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I like the adjustable grip thickness of the P2000. I use the XL back strap which is padded. The P2000 seems to shoot softer. Plus, the P2000 is ambidextrous across the board.
I've always been a fan of HK, but it always has irked me that their pistols are always under capacity for their size. With how well engineered and expensive their mags are, you'd think it would be the opposite.
HK followers have always been larger than what is needed. I'm sure the reason has to do with some minor increase longevity and reliability. Personally, the only guns of theirs I truly have an issue with is their 45ACP lines (besides the full size USP/Mark 23)
yeah, spring tension is pretty damn high when youre talking 15+ round...This is somewhat of a carry pistol for some so weight is considered in relation to magazine size.
If ur pointing ur firearm at night and u can't differentiate the difference between the front sight and the rear sights u have ABSOLUTELY no business handling a firearm.

Just picked up a P2000 myself, super stoked, thanks for the video! Mine is a V2 Lem in .40 that I'm converting to 357 Sig
Joe Cannabyte enjoy. Not a LEM fan personally, but many are

Where did you find a 357 sig barrel?

Great review! What is the part # for those flush mag plates? Thanks!
Pinky rest ''You don't really need on this'' EVERYONE has different size hands.
SD native here. i got this same gun but the tan and black one. lets go shoot sometime!
Great video. Any way to find a video on how to install mag release?
Instinctive Firearm Reviews search it, there's one on here

Anthony Grizanti no, no rust
Great review bro and nice upgrades
thanks man, you could see on my mag change I'm still not use to the paddle style yet, LOL.
I want this Gun. I have a USP40 and a USP45 I'm a get this in a 9mm as my personal carry.
Do you know why the front of the trigger guard has some sort of grip on it?
Some agencies shoot with offhand index finger hooked there
I think the stock spring is 12 lbs. are you sure you didn't get a 10 lb spring?
Cod y19 who knows. everything I've read is conflicting. its the newest Blue one

It's supposedly to keep the magazine spring life long.

Great review! What were the names of the IWB holsters that you mentioned?

Four years later, the evolution of this H&K platform is noticeably improved with the VP9.
Sort of. The VP9 made the striker block mechanism too complex imho
@@DCoppThat's why I am a Walther fan.
I prefer a hammer fired handgun to striker fired.
The magazine finger plate is pointed down, just like the barrel. I'm having a hard time seeing how it makes concealment more difficults.

The mag release from HK 45c fits a P2000? Really???

If you're lining up your sights way left/right because the 3 dots are the same color......then there is something wrong with you.
Phantom Strike I bet it has happened before
Snake Doc that just doesn't feel natural, I think it's highly unlikely it would happen.
Phantom Strike and there would also be an awkward gap for example two dots *gap* one dot or one dot *gap* two dots.

You should try hkcs first on parts
What's that?
Hk customer service
Much better pricing, I got springs for v2 to v1 and extended mag release under 40 dollars shipped direct from hk and comp hammer spring
you should bend your elbows some to help your body absorb some of the recoil.
thanks. Yeah, I've been playing around a bit lately to see what works best for me. I'll take your advice to practice.
OMG
I fell asleep 💤
I'll check out your vids and try to learn from them...
This is the only firearm I regret buying. The factory trigger is absolute garbage. I have numerous other HK's and those are just fine.
OMG I fell asleep 😴
You're welcome
Boring
So so many things wrong with this vid, least of which is that please shoot me stance
Thanks Peter!

There is tons of shitty gun owners in the US. MURICA!!!
You say “ummm” way to much. Work on it. Makes your presentation look less professional. Don’t get worked up over this, but use it.
This is an old video
