Great reaction again. Great choices Dragon Phly.. You need to go back and rewatch the Maximum the hormone song.. You totally missed Tamu the drummer's vocal parts.. The drummer from Maximum the hormone, Nao Kawakita, is Tamu's reason for playing drums.. Tamu also plays Guitar, bass, piano, Keys, xylaphone and saxaphone. very talented Lady, she is also a mom of two. There are also two other versions of Oiran on Youthume. You should check them out in your own time, one in studio and one live at Naon, they are both Awesome!!

Great reactions. Love your expressions when they go heavy which is what they mostly do. They are amazing aren't they? they can play anything too.

Great reactions. Really enjoying these marathons. Again, excellent choices, DragonPhlyy! As far as suggestions, I'll re-iterate the live performance of their other ballad, "Now I Hear". You keep mentioning the drums....as a guitarist, absolutely LOVE the guitar counter melodies in that song. Remember that guitar tone you liked in "Life"? As they're doing the counter melodies, Hazuki uses her rear neck pickup for that warmer tone whilst Saki uses her front bridge pickup for more edge at the same time. Such a beautiful contrast. Sorry. Guitar nerd rambling.

Love all these songs. On a bad day, I love to listen to Make You Happy, it is just light, yes, and fun and I did not know Mayu could sing that high and cute. I was when I first heard Make You Happy that I realized these ladies can cover any song, any genre.

The drummer Tamu Murata was one of the most sought after seasion drummers in Tokyo before joining Nemophila. She has been in projects ranging from Jazz, Prog, Pop, Metal, created music for anime and digital media, taught at a drum lecturer and also toured Asia holding clinics as an ambassador for Tama drums. She not only plays drums, but also classical piano, bass, guitar and sax. Her personal RUclips page is worth checking out because there are tons of drum cam video of her various sessions, including the Nemophila ones where "The Trooper" and "Make You Happy" are recorded from. Tamu and Haruna from Lovebites are 2 amazing talents.

Revive is Ace Of Spades for the 21st century! I know you like all her vocal range - when it's balanced out - and moving from Make You Happy to Revive certainly lets her show it off. "Nemo...Nemo...I need more!" - brilliant line! Love it!

Are you aware that Akane Hirose - drummer for Band Maid - was inspired by the drummer for Maximum The Hormone? Tis true. Akane found a female drummer who was just as badass as any of the boys! Now so is Akane!

The same goes for Nemo's Tamu, who even attended an audition by MTH for a side project to meet Nao in person a few years ago. :) Now, Tamu and Akane themselves are role models for future generations. ❤️‍🔥🤘🏻

Well your two favorite of the lot were the two original Nemophila songs :) The two in the middle were covers, Maximum The Hormone are another awesome Japanese metal band that has inspired most of the newer Japanese metal bands of today and Make You Happy is actually a cover of a JPOP (kinda Kpop too since JYP is the largest Kpop producer and NiziU is their only Japanese group) group called NiziU. But yes Nemophila can do it all, glad you are enjoying them as we are your reactions!

@@AngelLWJ correct Now I here is actually from the Seize the fate Concert blu ray. Which was back in Feb maybe? they did a Seize the Fate tour in Japan for the album just before they came to the states in March. But the new Live Seize the Fate song is from the recent 4th anniversary show at Tokyo Garden. Kinda funny that one song is from Seize the Fate tour and Seize the Fate itself is from a separate show haha. Anyway Im sure you knew all this Angel haha. I'm babbling. :)

“The noise you used to hate, it is now your best friend.” MAYU says that is the key lyric of REVIVE.
The original version of MAKE YOU HAPPY is a 100% J-Pop song by the all-female vocal group NIZIU. NEMOPHILA improved 100% by turning it into a catchy Rock song.
MAXIMUM THE HORMONE is the band. The song is ZETSUBOU BILLY. Apparently it is used in the anime DEATH NOTE.
OIRAN is their show closer. At the beginning, MAYU says, “This is our last song.”

As I've commented before, it's hilarious that you'd reach NiziU via Nemophila instead of your Kpop exploration. Will you like the original of "Make U Happy" better? Maybe? It's much more akin to TWICE' oeuvre. I will say that if you ever go down the rabbit hole of reacting to survival shows on Patreon (almost certainly a copy strike nightmare for RUclips), The Nizi Project (which formed NiziU) is the best I've seen and Sixteen (which formed TWICE) is probably the worst I've seen even though they're both JYP productions. (TWICE is great - it's the show that had problems with bad editing and JYP the person throwing out his own rules for the show as it ran - thankfully, as it turns out).
