    I recall just before sentence was passed she said something to the effect of, “I do remember that Travis was conscious when I slit his throat” whereas she had been feigning memory loss regarding the crime; she Clearly did this to deliver a Last Horrendously Cruel blow to his already devastated family. PURE EVIL.

    • @arainaz10
      @arainaz10 Год назад +82

      Yep, that was one of the last things Jodi said during her sentencing. And just before that, Travis's sister said in her victim impact statement that she prayed he died before that act so he did not have to feel the pain. Arias is pure evil.

    • @JonShade-fy2gm

      She also said in this admission that she “remembered the gun was first.” I always thought the gunshot came first. Even Flores specifically said so in one of those 48 hour-type shows. They switched the order of which weapon came first because they were concerned that if they went gunshot first (what really happened), the defense would have a much better chance of proving self-defense. So I think this is one of the times Jodi actually told the truth.

      How can anyone sustain a gunshot wound to the head and then keep attacking? At the very least, it would have given her a chance to get away. As the medical examiner testified, the gunshot wound did not bleed out which indicates that his heart had stopped.

      I watched it too. Juan Martinez was a great lawyer. If it were my family, I’d want him going after the killer. One place I wondered if he messed up… in the second death penalty case, one of the jurors was a victim of domestic violence. She was the one who hung the jury. I thought he should have never let her on the jury.

      I watched the trial too. Even though the prosecution got the win, I still believe she shot him in the head first. It only makes sense since she stole her Grandpa's gun. Because she used a missing cushion to hide the gun and muffle the sound, the gun jammed after the first shot. It was a small calibre hand gun. When he went to the mirror, she said she would go get help but then ran down to the kitchen and get the knife to finish him off. The ME changed his initial report to fit the States theory. I didn't like that.

    If she had kept her mouth shut and lawyered up, the prosecution would have had to prove that the DNA was from the day that Travis died and not from previous times that Jody had been at his house. If she had only shot him and did not stab him, she would not have gotten bloody hand prints in his house. My understanding is that he crawled out of the shower after being stabbed but before being shot. If she had taken the camera and not left it in his washer, she could have disposed of it securely later.
    My sense is she has manipulated many stupid people in her life, thus empowering her to feel more intelligent than she is. Also, Travis should have stopped relations with her. It was leading her on and contributed to the heinous ending!

      Everyone is so stupid when it comes to digital forensics. When you 'delete' a file on a computer, phone or camera, it is not truly deleted. What happens is that the 'pointer' to the space that has the file is 'set to NULL'. You still have to use the device a lot to truly override the previous location's memory. Putting a camera through the washing machine is nothing.

Not only does that explain the spray of blood in the sink and bathroom counter, but it fits in with the kind of attack that Jodi would initiate, to incapacitate him first. I just can't see it happening the way that was reported in the media and at trial in which she first initiated a blitz attack on him and then after stabbing him repeatedly and cutting his throat shot him in the face as an afterthought.
