      I guess you need protein powder because it's impossible to get adequate protein without supplements. Or because legumes cause gas. ??

    For anyone who's interested in the calories:
    Per portion (from 9 portions total):
    232kcal, 14,5g carbs, 11,8g fats, 11,5g protein
    Keep in mind I calculated the bars with only 50g of chocolate on top... If you're using more, more calories and more fat

    • @wck
      @wck 4 года назад +7

      So it's barely a protein bar, lol. A good protein bar should have at least 17g of protein.

    I used almond butter instead and it tastes AMAZING!!
    Also, I made my calculs and with a vanilla whey protein (30g prots per scoop) and non vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips(about 1/2 cup) it’s about:
    300-315g cals
    16-20g prots
    50mg sodium
    17g fat
    12g sugar
    Per bar, for 9 bars, to make you an idea😊

    • @jocelynamanda8448

    • @Toxort
      @Toxort 3 года назад +4

      That's a bad protein bar when it only has 16-20g protein and 300 calories.
      Its should have more like 27-30g of protein or higher to be considered a protein bar .
      10 grams of protein per 100 calories is considered a good protein bar.
      This is more like a candy bar.

    Maddie - my teen daughter suggested this video and made these bars to give her the energy needed to get through a full day of dance. Taste was great, although my daughter thought ot was too "proteiny" so maybe we'll make it with only 1 scoop of protein and add vanilla extract next time. BUT my question is - does yours stick to your mouth like a big ball of peanut buttee? Ours did and i had put in less PB i think. Any suggestions? I am thinking maybe not blending the oats next time idk.

      Hiya, for it to taste less protein-like. Use 99% whey milk protein that's unflavored and combine it with the normal vanilla one half and half, as they whey stuff tastes like nothing while keeping the protein. Also, I freeze them and then cut them up to later on less then soften up in the fridge.

    Great protein bar recipe! Nicely done, especially satisfying the sweet tooth with the chocolate on top!

      Nice video but don’t touch your hair while using your hands to touch your food. Don’t lick your fingers without washing your hands! Do be safe!🙂
