I've been searching all week trying to remember what this was called. Used to watch this with my dad when I was a kid. It was my favorite because of the massive rooster tails lol. I'm so happy I found this.
MAN do I remember all of these. All were in florida. I've lived here for 53 years and know the place too well. The famous sippy hole. Boy does this take me back. Thanks for bringing back TNN Sports cavalcade.
Do you remember when the track was on Radio Rd.? I’m sure you know of the Chessers , Lonnie, his son Eddie and brother Leonard, kings of the swamp buggy!!!!
I didn't realize he passed a year and a half ago. Sorry for your loss. It is a huge loss for us SBR fans that watched him on TNN on Sundays back in the 80's and 90's. Godspeed Jimmy!!
The King of the Swamp (the winner of the Big Feature) was the person who got to dunk the queen. that was done at the conclusion of Sunday's racing after the Big Feature. This event was done on Saturday and featured individual class racing for V8 Stock and Jeeps, which is why you don't see any of the laddered features featuring all of the class winners.
i remember in one of the and they walked way tapes it showed a buggy called "thats the one" also it showed a newlywed couple diving in the swamp.. anyone know when that was?
Didn't they drain this track in late '99 or '00 & call it & use it as a motorsports park or am I confusing this with somewhere else? I'm thinking that Monster Truck 2000 show they put on where Gene Patterson wrecked the Scorpion truck so violently. Then they had a few more events in the day time, but not on mainstream tv.
Dad and I LOVED watching swamp buggy racing in the 80's. And it was these same presentations, Diamond P's American Sports Cavalcade, that showed it.

Nostalgia at its best. I miss this era of America!

For $50, sure. My time ain't free, my channel isn't monetized, and I do this for fun.
@@turnofthecenturymotorsport7746 I understand what you are saying.

You’re thinking of Mesa Park in Felsmere, FL but they did drain Florida Sports Park in Naples regularly as well for other Motorsports events.
@@mtfan Ahh cool, thanks for the clarification!
