  • Dr. Ryan Sundermann from UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital talks about some of the reasons you might want to visit the ER. Heart attack or stroke symptoms, trouble breathing, broken bones, pain in your stomach, high fever, severe headache - those are a few of the reasons someone might want to visit the ER.
Bottom line. Your emergency is our emergency. If you feel you need medical care, visit our ER to get checked out.

Never, unless you actually collapse and you physically can't get up off the floor or out of your bed. Or if you attempt to go to your doctors office and realise that you're fully out of breath and are going to pass out while driving there. Maybe unless you have something really bad like that happen, just see the doctor and don't go to the ER.
