Maathaji thanks for one more wonderful narration of the episode
    Chapter 47 in khanda 4..
I am just curious to know, why the Daitya's beheaded the fetus the moment he was born..?
No-one was there to protect the fetus, what's the story behind this ..there must be something , why would the Daitya's behead a just born infant...?
One more curious question, why only Airavata's head was beheaded by Vishnu , was there any previous curse to Airavata that his head wud be beheaded...?
What happend to the head of the fetus that daitya hurled in to river narmada...
What's the hidden story behind this...
Don't feel upset by my questions maathaji...I am not content , wish to know more in-depth ...why, how...?
I am aware that you have put such an great effort to narrate what's written ..but if you know the answers to my queries please share ...
    Thanks once again ..
    Om ganeshaya namaha...,🙏🕉️

@hotperfume111 You must remember that Ganesha has taken birth in the house of Shiva and Parvati several times. The one whom we worship as Ganesha is the one who was created by Parvati as a boy from the dirt of her body and infused life into it,who was later beheaded by Shiva and was given the head of an elephant and who is worshipped as Ganesha all over the world.
This Ganesha is in fulfilment of the boons granted to two living beings, one to King Mahesha who was given a boon first by Bruhaspati, Guru of the Devas, that he shall be especially worshipped by all. This became the human body of Ganesha who took birth in Shiva's house. But due to the second curse on King Mahesha by Narada, he was born in the womb of an elephant and became Gajasura. Gajasura, worshipped Shiva who granted him a boon that his head shall be worshipped by all in the world. So, when Shiva had cut off Ganesha's head, a search team was sent by Shiva to find the first living creature and to bring his head. This was the head of Gajasura, whom the Shiva Ganas found and was placed on the headless boy Ganesha. Shiva infused life into this boy with the elephant's head and became Ganesha, whom we worship.
The second story about which you have enquired is of Airavati, the elephant of Indra, who became intoxicated because Indra disrespectfully placed the Nirmalaya flower given by Shiva after puja to Ganesha,to Durvasa Rishi who had given it to Indra. The intoxicated Airavata landed on Earth from Svarga and started rampaging the forests creating havoc to the Daityas. This Airavata had to be killed. Once Shiva and Parvati had transformed themselves into elephants and was roaming in the forests amorously. It was then that Ganesha entered the womb of Parvati, as per the boon given to her. Since Airavata was indulging with different female elephants, the Daityas thought that Airavata had impregnated Parvati and so killed the foetus in the womb. Gananayaka was delivered without a head. The Daityas threw the head of the foetus in the Narmada river.
Vishnu, being brother of Parvati, went into meditation and found out the cause. He beheaded Airavata (perhaps Airavata had impregnated Parvati in the elephant form) and placed his head on the boy Vighnaraja, infused life into him by chanting the omkara. The head thrown into Narmada became the Narmada Ganesh which even today is worshipped.
These are red stones found in the water basin of Narmada, whom Shiva had blessed when River Narmada (the only Brahmacharini river) did penance to Shiva for a hundred years and the pebbles and stones in her river bed became purified. The other colored stones are worshipped as Shiva.
