Nice video Jeremy. One method you didn’t use which I’ve seen from several customizers is to use a marker on the joints. You can get a pack of sharpies with different colors at most hobby stores pretty easily and it works really well. If you are doing a light color over a dark joint it probably won’t work well but for black or other darker colors this method is a close second for me behind finding a piece with the right color to begin with.
I 100% agree on the first one I think if the large corporations that are producing this product have a difficult time with paint rub on their joints as well for example NECA had that problem with the triceraton when I bought one immediately the paint on the ABS plastic cracked and chipped off completely I think partially is has to do with them not preparing it well enough but even if they did an immaculate job with sanding primary painting and coding the joint The problem will still lie on constant abrasion from posing so unless the part is actually dyed or pigmented permanently in the resin manufacturing process the color is always going to wear off.
I just got into painting. Im attempting to give kronnaw blood armour and it turned out awesome. The problem im having is with his blue body not taking the acrylic paint im using. I wanted to give him light flesh tone but idk what else i could try.
What kind of paint are you using? I've painted over Kronnaw many times and it worked fine - but the type of paint may be part of the issue. I also often will base Kronnaw out in black before I change that blue color
I always get helpful customizing tips from Jeremy, thank you!

Yes, that is indeed one I have heard some people use!
@@MythicCustoms hey, im painting halo mega construx, do you think the marker method will work on those?
Great content in this video that will definitely aid me in future custom making.

What do you recommend I do for my figma genji. I'm trying to repaint him for his white nihon skin
I am sorry, I am not familiar with that figure, and since I don't collect the Figma line I don't have much advice to offer on that one.
