Glad I found your channel and I got to hear your experience! I was just recently accepted into a Ph.D. math program with a graduate assistantship offer and I really hope I’m ready for this upcoming fall semester 😬
Yo, I'm going in to uni to study undergraduate pure maths. It's gonna be my highest level of education as I've just graduated from high school. Found your channel randomly while looking at what higher-level maths courses in uni and college look like and I've really enjoyed your videos. So, thanks, man!
I just wanna say thank you for these videos, and I hope you keep doing them throughout your PhD. As a first generation college student it really helps to see what your experience has been, since its hard to get this information elsewhere. I'm also pursuing math and your videos are insanely useful for helping me look toward the future.
Just a tip: figure out what the proper focus for where you are sitting at is, and then turn off autofocus. Autofocus often acts up and results in you going in and out of focus every now and then.
Congrats! It's very impressive that you did so much for your first semester! I'm in my second year and only have the Analysis qual left to finish, but I'm more a topologist/algebraist, so I'm quite stressed about it. Good luck with the next semester and quals!
I'm starting a math PhD program in the fall of 2021. I see that you have videos on things like category theory and topology which are not typically covered much at the undergraduate level. Did you do a lot of self-studying before starting grad school? Also, how old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!
Hi! Congrats on straight As! I enjoy watching your videos a lot. I am currently an undergrad math student, and I am also considering doing a master or Ph.D. in math and other relating fields. So, can you talk more about how to apply for a master or Ph.D. ? Thanks a lot. Oh, and btw, could you please tell us which institution you are currently in?
Did you go to your PhD program right after undergrad? I am currently getting my masters in mathematics and your analysis topics are much more advanced than what we are covering.
I did not, but I also didn't get a masters beforehand, I took a job in Healthcare IT for a little more than a year and a half before going into my Ph.D. program. I did take A LOT of math in undergrad (I give a very brief overview of all the math I took in my "what comes after calculus" video if your interested in what I had seen prior to my PhD program.) Hope that answers your question!!
Oh yes pleeaase if that is possible, post a bit of calculus one; judging by your content, odds are you'd be the first address I'd refer people to, who look for teaching of elemetary calculus on the internet
I’m doing pure mathematics; most schools treat pure and applied PhD’s differently. Depending on the school it can be easy to switch as the PhD program is provided by the same mathematics department and sometimes courses overlap or you can take the applied/pure graduate courses while being admitted as a pure/applied PhD student respectively
I am a Mathematics and statistics student and for some reason when I listen to him I want to work harder. Greetings from Namibia Africa.

Congrats!
"Analysis was the object of a lot of worry and stress" was the story of my life last semester. And probably will be for the rest of my math schooling.

I’d love to see the course videos! The more resources the better, I think.

Just looking at those analysis topics and tedious exercises I am imagining gives me shortness of breath, wish me luck guys

Are you doing PhD math

Glad to see that things are going so well! Both in life and in youtube land! Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks CaseTheGod! Hope all is well with you too!!
Before you mentioned the 7000 subs I would have guessed you were well over 100k. Love your videos!
Love your channel. Commenting for the algorithm.
I am looking at doing fractal biology for my grad thesis. Do you have fractal references you could point me to.

Are you going to be in papa flammys next mathvengers?
Which uni do you go to for your phd?

Great video!
I hope you doing well thanks for sharing I've been thinking a bout getting my undergrad in mathematics but I am too scared the trigger :(

Where can I find the outro song? good choice
Please i would like to see that calc 1 vid you made :)
quick question: are you doing pure math or applied math and do Phd programs consider those different?

4:03 aint UFD stands for Unique Factorization Domain?
Yay! Someone finally found it 😂
You’re right it is supposed to be Unique Factorization Domain
You meant to spell Egorov, not Ergorov.
You right.
