Our First Hot Air Balloon Flight Bristol Bailey Balloons

This was our first flight, and we got a gorgeous morning for it as we lifted off from Ashton Court. Almost every historic landmark in Bristol came into sight, including the SS Great Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We were traveling in the Discovery Balloon, which was absolutely enormous. We were privileged to have as our pilot Clive Bailey, who in 2009 was the flight director for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. When we finally landed, we landed in the grounds of the famous Cadbury chocolate factory and the air was scented with chocolate. We had a super smooth landing, and the balloon was 'walked' whilst still inflated from the wet field to the dry of the car park. This kept the canvas envelop dry when it was eventually deflated. Champagne and then home, a perfect day.

Fab video... would love to fly across Bristol. Did a balloon flight with Bristol Balloons but took off from Bath due to wind direction... Am sure we'll do it again some time and hopefully fly over our house in Southville. Bristol's an amazing city to see from the air.
