I have a problem where I am trying to make a mug, but I can't do a shell and keep my sweep for some reason. I am trying to make the entire part one thing without any individual parts, if that makes any sense (for example, I want to have one option to click on in FeatureManager, not several). Is that possible?
Nice.. its really help me 😁 thank you sir.. I have some problem : when i make sketch in 2D and there is some line inside it.. example: i make a square and there is a circle in the middle off it.. when i make it to 3D the line (circle) is gone.. how i can make a hole in the middle of the square? And something like that.. i hope you understand what i say 😂
When you make the 3D, a feature is added on the feature tree, in the left column where you see the planes and etc. There is a small arrow neclxt to your feature. Click on the arrow to open that feature, then you see your base sketch with the circle on it, click on the sketch once and use extruded cut to use that circle to make a hole. i really want to join but i cant because i don't have enough money.. but i still learn on my own.. because i want to teach my friend to... it's fun to teach each other.. :D
i could have real all of your comments but i am lazy af so can you please tell me what is the difference between combine and join. I would love to expect more videos from your channel and i would love to subscribe only if i get more illustrated videos....
I don't understand why you would show how to combine without first showing how to separate two parts? I have been trying to do this for awhile so I can follow along with combining them and I can't. I hate having to move on without fully understanding the previous step first.
That's a seperate tool and topic. You should look for SPLIT. that is the tool that allows you to Separate your component. Here try this ruclips.net/video/9BNNeOuuljg/видео.html
there is no mergine parts. You have either "Merge Results" or "Combine solid bodies". If you wanted merge results, you have watch my "multi-body design" video
Excellent. The driving explanation for the joining became clear with the explanation cylinder-to-surface example. I appreciate it!
That's why Ryan is here for baby! Haha

Thank you!! I'm stuck in body linear pattern that the patterned features remain separately so I cannot use it in simulation. God bless you!!
you are very welcome
thanks man
no problem
thank you. but i still a line between the two parts ??!!!
Cool info, I want to combine 2 step files and then draw sketch from there, do you have the tutorial ? thanks
Sorry, no but the steps are exactly the same
how come my move/copy setting look different than yours? also i did exactly what you did and nothing happened when i clicked the green check mark
on the bottom of your settings, there is a button that either reads TRANSLATE/ROTATE or CONSTRAINTS. Click on that
Good
Thanks

perform shell first. then do the sweep. if you already have done the sweep, roll back the line above sweep, perform shell and then roll it down again
