as a totally blind person who love all these superhero comics, cartoons, and a big action figure collector myself, I want to say thank you. Your voice acting and very lively presentation really reminds me of a happier time when I was little and my younger brother read all these comics to me, good memories and make me laugh a lot, good job, thank you

Cyborg X is actually Frank Bohannan, AKA Freedom Force member Crimson Commando, who was just mortally wounded in Kuwait during a mission. Dominick is actually the 1st name of Avalanche, who rescues him and abandons Blob and Pyro. Such an awesome idea to do these videos like this. You're doing an amazing job.

An excellent "As told by Toys" video as always, David. I truly enjoy these stories. The voices make them even better. 🤣Question though: how did you know that's how most of the American women of 80's /90's sounded like that??😂. Sorry I didn't know when the comic was released.

So, this video took David around 8 hours to make! 1 hour filming and 7 hours or so editing it together! That is a tremendous effort, a full work-day of effort! It is such an informative and entertaining video and I love this series on the channel! The hard work involved really shows too, or this is what really hard work and having a love of video-making and editing looks like! Awesome job and I hope people understand that David really deserves to get paid for otherwise providing entertainment for us all for free! Everyone should share these with friends and families, because even if they aren't into comics or toys, David is still so entertaining that they are sure to love it and laugh at these stories and impressions and the humorous comments David makes!

How do you like the Good News segments? Can you rank all the various types of videos that David makes from your favorite to less favorite and why you feel that way about each? Like, what you like specifically and enjoy most about the videos that you do, and which videos might act as an example of your favorites or which contain your favorite moments and what those were? All that kind of input can really help David to see what viewers and regulars really get a kick out of! For me, it is David's comedy and humor and reactions, which I think pervade just about all or most of his videos.
Whenever opportunities for comedic activity on the part of David is reduced or seems less likely, then I like the videos less, so videos which very dryly might provide mere information or are distracted by listening to someone else talking (like interviews or being absorbed by paying attention to playing games or technical things requiring attentiveness or concentration) are probably my least favorite, while anything with lots of David being hyper and funny and joking around, doing voices, singing songs, just being totally off the wall and silly and childish, I love those videos the most, at any quality level even, and those can include moments in Live Streams, Good News, and these wonderful As Told By Toys videos as well (and other types which David creates, such as reviews, editorials or commentaries on subjects, testing products, and whatever else)!
I think David might be trying even more types and styles of videos soon too!

That is exactly how I feel too! I feel like I learn so much while laughing a lot, so it is an absolutely satisfying combination of feeling like I've gained knowledge and felt so much joy through laughing which is like my favorite thing, I think there is practically nothing I like more than laughing, as well as learning too, so my two favorite things combined! Plus I love looking at art, and this has that too, I love acting and voices and David gets to combine everything in it, and I also enjoy toys and collecting and David even weaves those into these videos too! What a great mixture of everything that makes David and this channel so fun! A great big dose of pleasure!

Here are two stories that might be interesting for you, one involved the "toy collector community" and Mattel doing something people are getting angered by:
    ruclips.net/video/uErtNq_w6xY/видео.html
and this one is an interesting story similar to a joke I made recently about you and I being superheroes:
    ruclips.net/video/1igWy6ljg4Y/видео.html
So these two channels are kind of in the same network of peers with related content, and these are two videos which popped up for me which I think you might find interesting, in the case of the Mattel one, you might even want to use the event to talk about it, and also to be cautious as well, though I think you're at no risk really, and Mattel will likely adjust their policy after receiving some more backlash from the collecting community for their harsh treatment of loyal customers.

I just watched a few minutes of Nerdrotic's (Not Nerdzoic lol Nerdzoic is clearly a way nicer and more pleasant human being in how they present themselves) live stream. He has apparently been at this for 8 years? According to some comment that left him 100 dollars, and has just reached 400k subscribers? Nerdrotic had multiple other people sharing his live stream, he completely ignores the chat (of over 5000 people!) and also seems to ignore the 100.00 USD and 50 UK Pounds he receives every few minutes or even seconds, and especially the 5 and 10 dollars he gets every few seconds.
He barely says a word, and the theme of the live stream was seemingly making fun of how people on the media look, particularly health ministers and how dead faced and life-drained they look, and then they moved on to making fun of some obese person.
He probably makes a thousand dollars or a few thousand dollars through the duration of the live stream where he barely says anything and seems to let all the other people he has invited do the work. I could never do such a thing probably, but what I saw was basically craziness, I've never seen so much money thrown around like that for nothing, by seemingly weird, desperate people, wishing various people he has guest starring a happy birthday for 100 dollars that they likely don't receive or share with the people they are trying to communicate to.
Over the course of the live streams, where no one can pay attention to the chat of over 5000 participants blazing through leaving comments no one sees or can read, he sits around for a few hours (and why not? The longer he sits around, the more likely he is to make all the more money per minute), he ends up with possibly tens of thousands of dollars, and if he leaves it up somewhere, then it gets views on top it and revenue from RUclips, plus I think he has a Patreon and whatever else as well. It won't be long before the guy is a millionaire, if he isn't already, and from basically not that and never possibly that, to that by just sitting around and hosting meanness festivals, teaching Anti-Model Behaviour to people in a world on fire, lol it was like some kind of a look into a dark, alternative reality, except it was this reality!
So, imagine that! 400,000 subscribers, 5000 livestream viewers, and 1000 dollars every few minutes by people sending 10 dollars every few seconds, and 100 dollars and 50 pounds every few minutes, over and over. At least you would continue to try to show that you care and appreciate the money sent, but Nerdrotic doesn't seem to say a word about it, totally ignores it, and also says nothing much in the chat with his guests, they do all the work, haha, gosh, its like some kind of sado-masochistic freak show, and it is what I want for you someday! To become Mephisto, the King of Hell (Dimension)! At least you'll be a nicer person, hopefully, or we'll see if money ends up turning you completely to the dark side, like the mystery box opening almost broke your fragile psyche completely! Only by grabbing on to Wolverine's nipple tassels were you able to pull yourself back into Model Behaviour, but the darkness may still linger, as seen by the gradual increase in "b*tch!" hahaha.
How the HECK does that guy have an audience like he does? Is it just from making a career being hyper-critical, negative, and mean? There are others like that though who don't have nearly the amount of success. Plus! He talks about stuff that shouldn't really interest that many people overall, like comics and Marvel Movies and whatever, I mean I guess that is enough to do it eventually, and he has apparently been at it for a while. People are looking for a bully basically to voice their own frustrations and amplify them, and to also "give them permission" by "going first" at tearing at everything. Right now in the United States of DOOM, some of the most wealthy and most viewed people are extremist in their thinking and statements, like Tucker, Ben Shapiro, and then the people who might have been considered a little less extreme, are also the very biggest in the world currently, like Joe Rogan (which would sound like some utterly warped reality if someone predicted Joe Rogan would be some big name from two decades ago when no one cared who Joe Rogan). Besides these, Trump was like the most talked about President on the media every single day with people freaking out about his comedic and absurd statements and antics (yet I saw no mention of his time on the WWE with McMahon?). Everything became a weird joke, the craziness of this many people able to reach out to each other through the internet seemed to start messing with the mainstream media and politics tremendously.
Russel Brand is quickly growing his channel in the footsteps of Joe Rogan, while Philip DeFranco has made a stable and lucrative career out of bringing people the latest gossip and news, while many other people (young people) have left watching television and get news from almost no other source than online chatter and sometimes just RUclips videos which bring people news trending on Twitter or whatever.
Without being provocative in the least, there are ways to somehow weave in "trending" topics and matters into titles and searches and content in videos, without even necessarily taking any strong or vocal "stance" on anything. Personally, I don't care about any of these issues at all, it is all trash to me, but I do want to see how one can go from living in their parent's attic, rich in toys, to living in their parent's mansion's attic, rich in toys and other forms of wealth, in less than 8 years!
I don't think these scary channels promoting evil or spreading rage and ultimately vocal and then physical violence possibly, really deserve what they are receiving, whereas you and the beautiful and joy-filled stuff you put out there absolutely deserves the same and more that these people are getting! In other words, I was shocked, amazed, and didn't really like what I was seeing, there has to be some way to get you that kind of success!
I can guarantee that Nerdrotic, who just sits there and at best just repeats things in videos, doesn't spend 8 hours putting together loving videos that show so much joy in the material and producing it and sharing it, no way!
When a channel is in early stages, I think a lot more content needs to produced regularly so that people aren't left in suspense and don't have as much of a chance to forget about the channel or move on to other things and forget to check back. I think the channels that have rapid success sometimes might be producing a lot more regularly so that people at the very least are finding content from the channel practically every day at a peak time so that they end up checking regularly, and if they don't tire of a person (tiring prevented by the variety they are provided), they would be checking every single day and getting their "dose" at a regular time, like a methadone clinic (MethaDave clinic) providing doses of Dave every single day at a particular time or time range (since there is a risk if it is too irregular, that a person checks at a certain time, thinking "Let's see what David has produced, this is the usual time", but then seeing there is nothing, they might not check again later, and if a day goes by or multiple days, then more people don't end up checking again because they move to other things or end up never knowing when there will be anything necessarily.
I think that might be why "regularly scheduled programming" might sort of work, and in other cases why certain regular patterns in content might also make people think that they aren't taking a risk and know what to expect or what they are guaranteed to receive, for example at least some jokes or laughs or something).

    • @DisplayingModelBehaviour
      @DisplayingModelBehaviour  2 года назад +1

Wonderful advice as always. I'm very familiar with Nerdrotic. He often seems to take the negative view of many dynamics and it's a path I would ideally want to be a counter for. Still I wouldn't mind replicating his money. That dude is making BANK!

    • @aFoxyFox.
      @aFoxyFox. 2 года назад

@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Yeah, to make money like that, basically doing nothing, that is a total dream "job"! It appears that people aren't even in a rush to be the "first" to review things, for example a lot of reviewers have covered these figures, but Fwoosh just showed them a few hours ago ruclips.net/video/Am9NTKTWbqs/видео.html and included a segment where he draws the lines in so people can see what that might look like as well. I think if you someday purchase some cheap figures or miniatures to fool around with, and other sorts of things like that, you may be able to create interesting content, whether it turns out badly or not, I don't think it could go wrong so long as it isn't boring (and people don't seem to mind boring either). These painting, modifying, making type videos seem to get good views sometimes, and for some people they might somehow relax them or something.
Your eating snacks from Japan video was very relaxing for example, so to counter some of the more energetic videos, you could have some calmer videos in a different style, while still having humor and whatever would be a mainstay for people to expect. The idea would be trying to get as many different types of people and satisfying their taste and appealing to them as possible, so that the people who liked relaxed things might be introduced to more frantic stuff, the people who like frantic stuff might be introduced to more calm things, the people who like toys are introduced to wrestling, the wrestling people are introduced to toys, movie review people are exposed to nostalgic references, nostalgia hunters are exposed to more modern content, gossip seekers get some of their news, people learn about anime from the past and the present.
The time you take to edit a video isn't usually 8 hours though right? It was just that particular video and style that ended up having a lot more editing work and fun experiments put in it? The idea that you might pre-film and pre-schedule numerous videos on a day where you have little else to do wouldn't even be tenable if it was 8 hours per video when people typically have around 15 hours of waking time per day at most if they want to push it and still have a normal schedule. I think some "editorial" style videos might be the easiest to film with the least amount of editing involved. The "As Told By Toys" might be the most time consuming and difficult to produce. Live streaming might be the easiest thing to do, 1 hour roughly where the filming is the whole thing, 0 editing involved.
So from easiest to least easiest:
      1. Live Streaming (and it also brings in direct cash sometimes, the same sort of amounts one might have to wait a month for with a person signing up to Patreon).
1.5. Reactions (I don't think you've tried this style too much, but it can be on a live stream or without the live stream element and it is simply like a reaction to something and a review or even a "watch along", its a very easy or "lazy" style of video that people have succeeded with sometimes, where they watch another video, watch a trailer for the first time, play a game for the first time, listen to a song for the first time and have the camera on while they listen to the music, they react to a food, I guess you've sort of done it in little ways here and there, but maybe not in the usual format where they just formally explain what they are about to do or watch and then do it or watch it and people watch how they react).
      2. Editorial and Commentary or Rant Videos (this seems to be what people like ItsaGundam and Nerdrotic produce, they just find a topic and go at it, though they might edit in pictures and things, which might not even be necessary but it is meant to keep the people occupied and distracted, the goal is to keep people sitting through the entire length of their video if possible).
      3. Reviews (this can be film reviews, but the easier version are product reviews, which could be things like toys or like the food testing thing, just commenting on things while looking at them, and the modified version you might have tested where you mainly show the figures while recording either at the time or separately afterwards, maybe this type can be even easier than the rant style, but I think that the way some of these people talk about things in a very prolonged and disorganized or improvised stream of consciousness sort of way, it might end up being easier for the length that is produced, while it could be harder to discuss something at length when it is just a quick thing otherwise, which would then help to have more things, like multiple items in the taste testing box, or multiple figures).
      4. Good News (I think this type is a little more difficult because of the slight research required and the picture collecting and editing you put in, though I think you can possibly create a version that isn't so slick and well made, where you have something that shows what is on your computer, and then open the windows of what you want to talk about, and simply click those each and discuss them or something like that, to save time and energy).
      5. Lists (This has more editing and segments usually, at least the way you've made them sometimes, and they can look pretty impressive as well, but there are probably much easier ways to do them, like I've seen in some of the earlier videos which were extremely entertaining because of how chaotic they might become with limited space and all the increased chance of things going hilariously wrong, which is a benefit of riffing and improvising and not being too prepared and moving quickly).
      6. As Told By Toys and Comic Stories and Sagas (These are likely the most difficult and time consuming to put together, are they really the most rewarding in how you feel making them if you were to calculate the effort involved and the satisfaction you receive from the results and other perks? I'm wondering! They are lovely regardless, as they provide so many opportunities to really showcase all kinds of skills and talents, including the great editing work as well, the research, the engaging story telling ability, voice performances, enthusiastic expression, jokes and funny remarks and witty things, silliness and innuendo, nostalgic references. These can and should probably make appearances in any other sort of video as well, whenever possible. Even Fwoosh and Shartimus make shy attempts at such, but you can really go for it properly and thoroughly entertain people by going all out, even at the expense of becoming this New Earth's Morph).
6.5. Stories and Creepy Pasta (A potentially easier version, or a similarly difficult version, could be reading and performing "Creepy Pasta" type tales and things, but yours would be much more entertaining and you could make them funnier and more lighthearted as well, or possibly poke fun at some of the things people have written or how they go about telling the stories, since a lot of Creepy Pasta stories seem to be free to use. There are channels like "Mort" who also turns them into animations if you ever get hold of someone who might be able to do that at some point, even for a fee).
      7. Video Essay (I don't think you've made one of these)
      7.5 Documentary (or these)
Some people create episodic sorts of "Shows" that are like a documentary, for example ThatChapter has become increasingly humorous, while others who do the same or copy ThatChapter and other similar RUclipsrs might remain slightly more serious while talking about some subject, in the case of ThatChapter, he went from experimenting with lots of stuff to mysterious things, to now just crime cases and murders mainly which has gotten him the best and most stable results, so he makes nothing else apparently, at least for that channel. Others, like "WavyWebSurf" might discuss some kind of internet culture meme or personality.
One of the easiest and most successful styles of RUclips content creation, with low quality and low effort, are the videos of Penguinz, where he just sort of rants about whatever, sometimes without showing pictures much or anything, they seem to be almost bare minimum (if he is putting effort in, it doesn't seem to show). He seems to have sort of rapidly become very successful and influential.
In the olden days, there were people succeeding through yelling while playing games, probably the most entertaining or naturally talented being Markiplier and then PewDiePie had made a lot of people laugh as well.

      Part 2
The best balance would be, the least effort, the most rewards, the most time for yourself, the most content and entertainment for the audience or "customers" without much sacrifice on your part, which is why I thought pre-filming might be the solution with your busy schedule, making a weeks worth of content or more, allowing for single daily posts or multiple daily posts so people always find something and know that your channel should be regularly checked (and the videos should appear at a regular time and create regular expectations that are not disappointed, since people would then possibly not check again and end up missing things or never returning if they think the channel is dormant or they don't know when to expect things, at the very least roughly or in a general range, but ideally even at a set time, which seems to be "Peak" value at around 3 P.M. New York time apparently, but it can be 4 or something else, maybe your analytics might indicate what is best even).
I think multiple videos interspersed at various times throughout the day, though they may end up causing one or the other to be missed, would create a backlog of videos and a lot of apparent channel activity (particularly if you cross reference them or reference a previous video and mention things from another video and tell people to check out the one just before if they haven't, they can even be filmed at once and then turned into separate videos), and so it might just catch maybe 3 or so chunks of people per day, and then get those seem people to watch more than one video as well.
It would also seem then that you're providing a lot, but in reality it would be that these are pre-filmed on a single day you've set aside to create whatever large amount you may need to well cover the whole week, even more if possible, and then again when that same "work day" is reached the next time, opening up all the other days in the week for your other activities, work, and study, and you can also live stream whenever as well, premiere whenever as well or on a certain day, you can set a single day aside for that sort of activity, separate from the video creation day, and you can also add more or bend the rules whenever you might feel like it or have the time or want to talk about something else that may come up, while you'll still have extra videos ready to go, and even more as backups in case something else may happen to the schedule at any point.
On Live Streaming days or a specific day, you could even perform 2 or 3 different live streams at different times of the day, in order to meet with and catch different groups of people (as well as some of the same), while giving you time in between to do other things, and one could be about toys, one could be more focused on some other subject like films or media news, another could be something else entirely or more specifically questions and answers or engaging a lot more with the audience. You could then even see which of those different types end up being more enjoyable for you. You can also take more advantage of some of your wrestling watch along types or describing what you see or talking about those things, but I never prefer any of the "busy" or "distracted" styles, haha, and it is more likely in those cases "Why Are You Ignoring Me!?" ends up happening with various (probably younger) viewers!
