The picture here is actually very beautiful and has a deep symbolic meaning in my view. Krishna, who is a symbol of eternal consciousness, bliss and ecstasy is being looked upon by Radha, who is a symbol of creativity, the nature and form and the universe that we are and that we see around us. The universe or creation(Radha) is actually a manifestation of the Divine principle(Krishna). This is why Krishna is shown to be in a state of bliss and ecstasy (as the creative principle) being unaware of anything, while Radha is shown to be looking towards him, or being in action, as it represents the universe. The ultimate goal is for Radha(creation) to become one with Krishna(source)
