It’s coming along brother. Well done!
Much appreciated!💚✌🏾
Can't wait to see how the rocket mass heater and floor are coming along. This seriously is a channel I look forward watching throughout the week. Thank you and your wife. The snow, grey skies, and cold weather up here in chicago are the worst.
Thank you very much! We're glad you're along for the journey and can bring some sunshine to ya!💚✌🏾
Thankyou
Thank you!✌🏾
For all metric people😁 you also have to convert the gallons into liters because you don't calculate with gallons😄
1 gallon = 3,78541 liter
and the square feet we have to convert too.

I know totally forgot about that too!😅 thanks for your comment on that!✌🏾
Just to complicate it that much more!😂✌🏾
I love seeing the joy on your face over the water you captured after the snowfall! I love watching what you're doing! It's very inspirational!
Thank you very much! Hopefully more moisture to come!🌧✌🏾
I'm into preparedness, water is so important , I live in a rain forest. I could never see myself living in a desert 🏜. I'm 100% on rain water, but nobody would know because it's all on tap, I can store up to 13,500, but all in cisterns, from there it goes through minimal filtration, and I filter all my drinking water with Berkey filters, but it practically rains here all the time, I get over 150 inches of rain every year, good luck on your rain harvesting.
Definitely a different scenario with the rain, so we'll need to be extra prepared here. Shooting for maybe a years worth if water storage for times like this, 6 months and no rain or snow, until now.✌🏾🌧
Can you calculate how much evaporation you'll have with such shallow basins? How long is the vinyl sheeting rated to last in such dry sunny conditions?
That would depend on various factors, like weather conditions, how much moisture accumulated in the soil, and so on. We're laying mulch and such. I'll have the video series coming soon going over all that. Currently working on a few videos!✌🏾
💙 La Niña showed some kindness. Glad you got a splash. Hopes for more this season. Cheers 🐺
Appreciate it!✌🏾🌧
Finally! Rain content 😂
The long awaited moment!😅✌🏾
Happy you received some snow, hope it melts slowly so it can soak in and not run off ☮
That's our hope too!✌🏾
Love the channel, love yalls hard work and great attitudes. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Appreciate the support!✌🏾
awesome video, so efficient!!
Appreciate it! 💚✌🏾
Bless up brother. Keep inspiring us.
Thanks my friend!✌🏾
Great content
Thanks so much! Always improving!✌🏾
I am learning a lot. Thank you for sharing.
Really Glad to hear! Thank you!✌🏾💚
Brandon. Really good post, man. I thoroughly enjoy the information you provide. I'm hip to your setup for the cliffhanger, by the way. Hey, Neka.
Thanks a lot! Really glad you get value from the content!✌🏾
It'd be mighty neighborly of you to box up some of that snow and send it to Shaun over at Dustups.
I'll be sure to plastic wrap it, so at the least it'll be a soggy cardboard box, perfect for mulching, or the taco for the prickly pears!😅✌🏾
I feel like its tough to make it on harvested water alone in AZ. We get long periods of droughts in phoenix, a well and pump is so crucial to growing trees fast, ur build looks amazing tho great job
Depends on our mindsets and efficiency with water usage. Look at the native cultures that thrived here before, their farming practices, etc.
We can do calculations, along with modern technology, sadly plastic/ Petroleum products are of great benefit for that in this case. We sit on 10 acres so our calculations show we can potentially harvest 4.5 million gallons of water per year!✌🏾
Looks like you used pond liner and not HDPE type on your roof. If so, I worry it’ll dry out and crack. I have 50 mil HDPE in full sun in florida thats still flexible and in 1 piece after 20 years
That'll be a first layer, so a few more layers of other material including the 50ml rubber liner. This was to at least protect everything!✌🏾
