Meanwhile the truth about Intel Arc: Launching a total of 1000 GPUs. Drivers being so crappy that half of games don't work without issues. Driver support won't be long because Intel GPUs for gaming are already cancelled and now what we see are just sales of what was already manufactured, gaming Intel GPUs have no future.

It’s actually nice to have another legitimate competitor in the GPU scene. Intel might not be targeting the “enthusiasts” with their GPUs but there is not arguing that they’ll do exactly what most people want a GPU to do. You might not end up with 4K Ray Tracing at 120+fps but you’ll damn sure be able to run every modern game perfectly fine without breaking the bank

For the first time in months, I saw 4080s at my local Best Buy. There were only three of them, but until games start requiring the 3000 series a architecture, I’m not upgrading from my 3060ti. I don’t need the absolute best of the best for graphics, I just need a little bit of future proofing and a little bit of a bigger case when the day comes. Who knows, but then, Intel may be what I’m going to go to.

How so? Intel's CPU department has been utter rubbish for years, but the GPUs are great. I got an A750 a few months ago. It was by far the best deal in my country. Keep in mind that for the past year the performance has been nearly perfect. By the time I got mine, nearly everything was patched. I had some graphical bugs in some of my obscure games, so I reported them, they took the bug reports very seriously and they were fixed within a few weeks. These days there's literally nothing to complain about with Arc. There is no BS advertising. It's a very strong gaming card with even stronger productivity and entertainment capabilities. It has only been pleasantly surprising me lately.
The intel arc A770 in performance is equivalent to the NVidia rtx 3060 which is sold starting at 400$. Nvidia's pricing is competitive, paying more money for a better product isn't price gouging, you're being to gullible to marketing, just look at independent benchmarks. No one's forcing you to buy the newest best graphics card in the world.
Budget gamers are the only ones still without a card for the last couple years. Intel made a big brain move releasing on the 12th. If thier suppy chain can keep up I think they're in a position to grab a crapton of market share from nvidia
I have an RTX 3080 but I've always rooted for Intel Arc to bring stabilization in this anti consumer market in the future, and now with Nvidia locking dlss 3.0 to 40 series gpus, I'm just praying that Intel succeeds in fixing its driver issues so that the world can see that they don't have to accept ridiculous terms and prices.
DLSS 3 frame generation is extremely overpriced tech that guarantees half my frames are fake, smeary messes that have literally no correlation to anything going on in the actual engine itself. My display can already do that by itself without having to force Nvidia Reflex or rely on model-specfic smoke and mirrors. Why would I want to buy a $900 4060?

This is exactly what the industry needs, there shouldn’t be just one godlike company. There should be companies that have fierce competition, the quality and price will get better itself. Happy to see competition. I'll be looking to upgrade from my 1080ti in the semi near future. Will be going with whoever can deliver the best bang for buck while staying under 300w and under ~$500. Haven't done any research yet, but I'd readily buy intel GPUs if they pan out. Going for high end cards seem so much less desirable this time around.
i think something in the amd 7000 series might release soon in that price range. we just have to see how it compares to nvidias 3000 and 4000 series in price to performance.
I mean for budget gamers, an intel cpu (10100f, 12100f from i3) paired with an AMD rx 6600-6700XT is a monster price to performance combo. I sincerely believe it has never been a better time to get into pc building, u can get an awesome 1080p gaming setup at $600 usd, $550 if ur willing to sacrifice storage
@@Junya01 PCpartspicker is the best. Occasionally, I'd search on eBay or Microcenter if I can get the parts cheaper but if you don't live near a Microcenter, then you can ignore that suggestion. Ebay has some GPUs at a cheap price. A 3060ti can go for $300 where I live
well... lets talk about performance, and VRAM.. oh wait.. nvidia wins on that. A770 is $329, but you know businesses will sell it around $400, and after shortage again $800. A770 performs like a GTX 1660 Ti, which costs like $250-$300. So A770 costs more money than it's competition.

I was gonna buy a gaming laptop, I almost bought a AMD + 3070Ti variant. But after seeing the crazy prices of 4000 series. I lost the little hope I had for NVIDIA. Just went for AMD + 6800M Laptop (ASUS Strix G15 Adv Edition) instead. I hope Nvidia comes to their senses instead of being too greedy.

Don't be absurd, 6600/6700 even non XT variants are priced well enough and delivers performance that meets standards. I got 6600xt without trying too hard the day it got released and play any new game I want

The main question for a lot of enthusiasts will be the drivers. If the drivers suck, the cards suck regardless of price. Especially on Linux. I hope they're able to figure that issue out as well.
I really, really, really hope intel's gpu branch gets successful. More competition is sorely needed, and they're doing a lot of hard work to win over the consumers compared to Nvidia who seems content on milking them for all they're worth.
I already have a higher end 3000 series Nvidia card, but man I'm excited to see how Intel does with this launch. Now, if they are able to compete at a level playing field with Nvidia and AMD in their next generation of GPUs, I would absolutely consider buying from their higher end segment. Using an A770 and it's actually really good and pretty well rounded. Excellent for video production and encoding, decent in blender, performs very well in games, and it wasn't too expensive. Pretty happy with it

I have an RTX 3080 but I've always rooted for Intel Arc to bring stabilization in this anti consumer market in the future, and now with Nvidia locking dlss 3.0 to 40 series gpus, I'm just praying that Intel succeeds in fixing its driver issues so that the world can see that they don't have to accept ridiculous terms and prices.
DLSS 3 frame generation is extremely overpriced tech that guarantees half my frames are fake, smeary messes that have literally no correlation to anything going on in the actual engine itself. My display can already do that by itself without having to force Nvidia Reflex or rely on model-specfic smoke and mirrors. Why would I want to buy a $900 4060?

Happy to see competition. I'll be looking to upgrade from my 1080ti in the semi near future. Will be going with whoever can deliver the best bang for buck while staying under 300w and under ~$500. Haven't done any research yet, but I'd readily buy intel GPUs if they pan out. Going for high end cards seem so much less desirable this time around.
i think something in the amd 7000 series might release soon in that price range. we just have to see how it compares to nvidias 3000 and 4000 series in price to performance.

A770 is $329, but you know businesses will sell it around $400, and after shortage again $800.
A770 performs like a GTX 1660 Ti, which costs like $250-$300.
So A770 costs more money than it's competition.

But now the Arc drivers are much much better and considering the arc cards usually have more vram versus their nvidia competitors, they could potentially age better in the future

I was gonna buy a gaming laptop, I almost bought a AMD + 3070Ti variant. But after seeing the crazy prices of 4000 series. I lost the little hope I had for NVIDIA. Just went for AMD + 6800M Laptop (ASUS Strix G15 Adv Edition) instead. I hope Nvidia comes to their senses instead of being too greedy.
I'm going to buy one out of spite. Even if it just sits there.

The main question for a lot of enthusiasts will be the drivers. If the drivers suck, the cards suck regardless of price. Especially on Linux. I hope they're able to figure that issue out as well.

I already have a higher end 3000 series Nvidia card, but man I'm excited to see how Intel does with this launch. Now, if they are able to compete at a level playing field with Nvidia and AMD in their next generation of GPUs, I would absolutely consider buying from their higher end segment. And theres nothing faster to encode in av1 , no matter the price , i think even a 13k$ cpu doesnt beat it , being someone that encode all day , i will buy it one day , even if i have to buy an other computer
But i already have a computer that is full of Rog things , i dont even have intel cpu , so it would be strange to go intel gpu now

With this, Intel should finish their partnership with Nvidia for good. Also, Intel should make ties with EVGA to produce more Arc based GPUs, now I am off to buy some Arcs.
Just keep in mind you have to be using a new enough CPU (at least Intel 10th gen, AMD 3XXX non-G) to get proper performance from the Intel GPUs.

Using an A770 and it's actually really good and pretty well rounded. Excellent for video production and encoding, decent in blender, performs very well in games, and it wasn't too expensive. Pretty happy with it
