And they are 2 of the highest waterfalls in the world, Kjelfossen and Kjerrskredfossen, each over 2600 feet high and there are many more temporary ones in the spring when the snow melts. Knocked me out totally!
Driving down this valley is epic. I was amazed the the first time i drove down here. Althought I'm western Norwegian and kinda used to this type of landscape I was blown away by Nærøydalen.
Me to mate. Drove from Dombås to Åndalsnes and up Trollstigen . From the top of Trollstigen over the mountains down to the ferry to Geiranger , and then come to the topp aka eagle watch. From There to Stryn and Loen . Upload that
The long and short double dashed lines between lanes denotes which lanes can overtake using the opposite lane (given the opposite lane is free of traffic of course). They are based on the vision of the road in front of you when you are in the lane. The lane closest to the shorter dashed line can overtake. Single short dashed line means both lanes can overtake. It makes sense once you´re used to it, I don´t know if this kind of road marking is common elsewhere.
never knew Norway was so awesome before I have been watching your videos.Almost has beautiful as Switzerland. And I always wanted to visit there, now want to visit Norway also.Good job!
rally618 Yes, Norway really nice. And it's very big (it's much larger than many people think). I've only been to a small area. From Oslo to North Cape is over 2,000 kilometer (same distance as from Brussels to Sevilla, or from Frankfurt to Turkey to name a few...)
+European Roads that is very strange. Both France and Spain are bigger than Norway but it takes less kilometer to travel from the north of France to the south of Spain than from Oslo to North Cape. Why is that?
+dejantendu 12 norway is a very long country, as opposed to france and spain that are more sqaure. Also the main trave routes (the europe roads) are mostly still windy country roads not straight highways, which ofcourse adds to the length when traveling by car.
norgi I am a German trucker who has driven in more than 25 European countries. Europe is a beautiful continent with a lot of pretty nice countries, but Norway is by far country #1. Wherever you are between Kirkenes and Kristiansand, Norway is a breathtaking beautiful country.
Afghanistan... Unfortunately first the Soviet invasion and then later the US invasion have destabilized and helped ruin the country. However you can still see the beautiful scenery remains, you just wouldn't want to visit there because of the dangers.
Is there robotic pan and zoom for the camera? In Norway they use the yellow center lines like here in the US. Other than that our roads here are terrible.
Wow - INCREDIBLE. Nice camera work too. Thanks bunches. Keep it up ! 🇺🇸 What do you do in winter with snow? Didn't see any room to dump snow from a plow .
Maintenance guys in northern european countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland) use diagonal plows that are designed to throw the snow high and far away from the road to plow small roads like this. In Norway though the blizzards are often so massive that roads have to closed and then opened with snow blowers
Strange roadmarkings between 10.37-10.47, 11.03-11.08 and 11.22-11.27. What's the use of a dashed line next to a dashed line ? That's a form of gradation I think not much road users will understand...
That's how road marking is done in Norway, Sweden and Finland at least. When there is only one line, both lines obey the line. But when there are two, you obey the line closer to your line. It's very simple, and in my opinion this is better system than in many other european countries. And everyone of the locals understand them very well after the driving school. If tourists don't understand it, it's their fault for not learning the rules.. There are three different types of center road marking in Norway. Short dashes with long gaps mean it's safe to overtake. Long dashes with short gaps mean that you are allowed to overtake, but it might not be safe to do so. Solid yellow line means overtaking is not allowed at all.

Wow. The area where you can see the waterfalls going down from the top of the mountain is really a majestic sight to behold!
And they are 2 of the highest waterfalls in the world, Kjelfossen and Kjerrskredfossen, each over 2600 feet high and there are many more temporary ones in the spring when the snow melts. Knocked me out totally!
Most beautiful natural scenery I have seen in my life. It had to be Norway...

Nærøydalen is iconic. The waterfalls there are actually some of the tallest in the world, few are aware of that and just rush passed!
Beautiful and nice video.
This scenery looks like somewhere in the alps. Fantastic. Thank you for uploading
Looks like somewhere in Norway.

In Poland we have the same thing just the longer dashed lines are replaced with solid one
Looks like the best road in the world!
nice road, good video, thank u.
Really cool video!

❤
Is there any country prettier than Norway? Thanks again for sharing these videos Chris.
Roads of Europe (verreme) Top 5 scenic European countries in my opinion: 1. Switzerland 2. Norway 3. Iceland 4. Greece 5. Croatia
Afghanistan...

amazing view
Why did you edit out the tunnels? That's the only reason I was watching the video!
Divino🙏🙏

Why not show the entire tunnel?
+Alan Fox That's what I was thinking..
That's what I'm saying! The tunnels are the best part! (Or they would have been if not edited out.)
Wow - INCREDIBLE. Nice camera work too. Thanks bunches. Keep it up ! 🇺🇸

What is the meaning of the word "tunnel" ?
Kaff Those beautiful holes in the mountain that cars drive through, but European Roads edited out of the video.
Min barndom

+René Walhout It's very common in Norway. It means that you can only overtake from the side the smaller dashed line is on.

+guy front bit of a typo..
at the beginning it should be "when there's only one line, both LANES obey the line"
