Staying relevant as a language learning blogger or influencer in 2019

    I prefer consuming video/audio stuff for the simple reason that I can do menial tasks simultaneously, I just listened to this video while folding laundry for example. I remember when I first found your blog it did make an impression of it actually being different to the others. I think the first video of yours I saw was the chunking method video. It was one of the first videos I saw that actually addressed how to build these language habits and automatic routines, getting the linguistic knowledge out of "system 2 to system 1", to use the popular metaphor. The whole concept seems to be entirely missing in the popular language learning blogosphere, which I've been following for most of the current decade. The whole point of language learning is after the beginning stage to not speak consciously but to speak the language in ideas.

    I've been mulling over this topic lately and what I think I realized is that lots of language learning discourse and material is nowadays directed at you learning to be a consumer of TL media rather than a speaker with actual command of the language, and this is why they never really impressed me with their strategies. Have you noticed the same?
