My main is Wild Hunter, and i have never felt so disappointed in my entire MAPLE LIFE! After watching every other classes 5th job are so badass... T__T ' Damn you NEXON.
Back When i played maplestory, There were only 4 classes (Archer, Warrior, Rogue and Mage) and when the 3rd Job advancement was the highest, Zakum the strongest, When the world Record to beat Zakum with a full party took atleast 2 minutes, When Tiger from Scania was on hes way to be the very first on hitting Lv 200 (what didnt happen), when 2,147,483,647 was the max mesos cuz of an 32 bit system maplestory had, When Maplestory had her 1st anniversary event, When Maplestory GM's would spawn bosses in the middle of Kerning city, When you had to roll the dice for 30 minutes just to create the perfect stats during character creation, When Zakum Helmet costed 50M mesos and you could not trade it so you had to go with the party while paying upfront, When people got married was a big thing in maplestory..(just to farm Onyx apples, When you have to kill around 10 monsters just to receive 00,01 Exp growth at Lv 60, When you travel fron Ellinia to Orbis by boat that would departure every 10 minutes and when the boat is finally on its way there, you get suprise butt sex by Crimson Balrog who would invade the boat by random and lose 1 Hour of hard work grinding of exp..(also you spawn back to Ellina and not Orbis............ahhh those were the golden days.
I can honestly attribute all the problems to the potential system, big bang and Nexon's greed for this games current state. If it stayed the way it did, I would gladly make my children play it from time to time, but when money makes you a much much better player, this game is no longer fun.

Buccs and Shads are getting back one of their most iconic old skills, Transformation and Assaulter. I'm so excited to try this new assaulter that ability was my favorite until they reworked explorers in 2012
azure strike Transformation was a kind of "super buff" similar to this reworked Transformation but Nexon looked at this as a lackluster that took space from a useful ability (quite true since transformation just buffed magic def by a little amount and make skills to be launched a little faster) so they removed Transformation for the revamp. Assaulter on the other hand was primarly used as a mobility skill for the Shadower branch since during the pre-big bang era they didn't have Flash Jump eventhough, assaulter worked wonders when bossing allowing Shads and Chief Bandits to avoid damage since assaulter made them invulnerable during the action time of the skill, pretty much similar to this V job Shadower skill. When Tempest update hit the servers Assaulter got reworked into Phase Dash (a push/rush ability) which helped Chief Bandits and Shadowers to become better mobbers, since this was the worst issue they had as a class (BoT or Band of Thieves looked cool but wasn't very useful because of the delay of the animation) the combo with meso explosion was nice at that time but they lost some of the ability they had for bossing, (Midnight Carnival is nice but not as good as assaulter was). For a long time after the revamped Shadower appeared they were really underwhelming when compared to DBs or Night Lords but with a few modifications, bufs and changes they have become the top thief class, they are good bossers, mobbers and now quite good with mobility, the V update will encourage and make them even better at this points.

Yes, good point. If we look back throughout MS history of the other jobs, the skills have all been altered at some point and even outright changed with new added skills thrown in. So this right now should be interesting, eventually we will most likely see a 5th job revamp or addition coming as we get closer to end game content.

as a maplestory player from 2005-2010. I must say. Holy shit, the developers of this game has gone bat shit crazy on effects and huge numbers. and lots of them aswell. I am used to "fire arrow" one hit sort of high damage. one number. one monster hit at max. But now.. WHOLE SCREEN ALL THE MONSTERS AND NUMBERS ALL OVER THE SCREEN.
The update is definitely amazing but i just hope they could do something to promote the party system so people would actually train with others but not train alone and hopefully this will bring back the (2006)community.
123, 134 , 393 definitely the maths question from Ludi PQ and the platform thing from Kerning pq was extremely frustrating but we still enjoy it... but now all we do is train alone
They reduced the EXP required to achieve level 200. Honestly I think I'll try, since I have based my character mostly on quest - solving only and in 8 years I have reached "only" level 120.
pretty cool to see the first mmo i played to still be around and doing well. I miss the experience playing with friends and exploring the game world with so much to see and do, maplestory was such an adventure during my youth. So much has changed and seeing all these flashy skills and classes is quite overwhelming for an oldtimer like me 😅

What class would fit me best? I like doing a lot of damage and I mean a lot plus having at least some tankyness. I would want the character to at least have a weapon like a sword, dagger, axe, or pole arm. I am fine with mages too. I would like the skills to be flashy and quick fast pace pretty much.
