Moynat used to be one of my favorite brands, but given the quality of their handbags now, I started to look for other brands like Fregoli, Peter Nitz, JD, Colombo, and Dellaluna, among others.
Peter Nitz does incredible work and also teaches other independent leather workers. He employed a former craftsman from Hermes a few years ago who has since moved from the area I believe, but PN's standards are extremely high. I am also looking at other artists who have learned from him
@HauteGemsDallas in life you should always challenge! Went to MOYNAT in Hong Kong and Singapore and clear as day the bags are different leathers, new details, hardware and where they are being made! Stay tuned I’ll be showing all the differences I can without taking the bags apart.
Just catching up with videos...I think this is a great conversation to have and I appreciate your honest opinion. So few people actually present this sort of critical content as most influencers just show off their latest hauls and findings. I am really looking forward your video comparing the two Moynat bags.
I can confirm because I have pre 2020 rejane and Gabrielle. The grabrielle strap loops in metal are thin and flimsy now, as the full hardware. The leather is dull and please check the glazing , it is so different…
@@SoAnesuI was actually shocked at my local boutique to find a lot of the Delvaux items were not very good quality. One of the bags even had the black edge painting on it completely crooked! And this was one the front of the bag and on display! I’ve heard goods things about Delvaux but after the experience I was completely floored 😮😢
@ramieal-hazar2438 shucks the sad thing is this isn’t shocking and unfortunately a direct result of not having a creative director and the full effects of Richemont ownership. I’m going to try and visit a few Delvaux stores across different countries and I’ll report back.
I can’t believe the bags are made in Italy instead of atelier in France yet they didn’t adjust the price.. I’m very curious what happened to their atelier & artisans. I’m looking forward to in depth bag comparison
Some would have left and joined other brands, others are still there and new members have joined. I think their French workshop is considerably smaller, if they haven’t closed it down completely and they may work more with other workshops.
@@SoAnesu probably, that’s so sad. I also noticed that quantity of bags being made has increased after Ramesh left, i suppose that was one the reasons why LVMH “expended” production to Italy..
My channel is focused on high quality, under the radar brands. A brand like Dior is an aspirational brand like Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Fendi for example. On this channel I’m trying to get viewers to embrace under the radar over aspirational so Dior is a brand I haven’t spent much time exploring and getting to know and won’t either. In the past I’ve compared 1/2 Dior styles but won’t do that anymore going forward. Sorry I couldn’t help.
Very odd. Shutting down your website is an incredibly bad sign. Lost sales and cutting out all the potential global consumers who don’t have a local Moynat. Maybe this is the beginning of the end…
I came across your channel while doing some research before my Moynat purchase. Anyway, i have decided to take advantage of their current private event and purchased Flori. I wonder what is your take on Moynat’s current special offering.
They are offloading stock that hasn’t sold and I guess they will rebuild their inventory with new styles and a small selection of old styles they will carry over in select colours. I saw a selection of bags recently in Hong Kong and Singapore and a couple of bags had issues but i don’t know if they will tell you unless you ask like I did or you buy and then possibly have issue further down the line. Enjoy your bag!
Wow the world economy is affecting every market. Quality for everything is suffering very badly. We must be very selective what we spend our money on and do the research. Emotions tend to rule our purchases a lot more than they should
My next acquisition, someday, will be the Valextra Iside in that dark Valextra green. That's really a shame about Moynat. They were a brand I thought about, for my grandniece when she gets older. I STILL coo with delight regarding your "bargain" Bulgari ring. 🥰
That’s forest green. How lush! Big shame but I hope they can turn the situation around. I smile to my self every time I wear it and that’s usually a coupe of times a week. It pays to suck it up and buy quality first time round!

Thank you! You have done all the work for me.
nothing worth to spend money on but Delvaux ❤ the love of Delvaux will never end . please make more videos about Delvaux . thank you 💕
I will do 😄

@@SoAnesu totally agree. And please do! I’m hoping my boutique was just an anomaly.
Sadly I doubt it you are the second person this week to tell me something similar.

Something odd going on at Moynat indeed, they seem to have all but shut down their online store

@@SoAnesuI think they are only available for purchase on one website. I can’t remember the one…maybe MyTheresa or Matches. It is sad indeed.

What kind of issues do you mean ? Then i can be on the lookout for.
@bpuntuchit7835 I will talk about them in future videos.

Research is very important!
I bought my Gabrielle in January 2022. I wonder when it was created?
I would imagine it was created in 2022 before any changes kicked in. I started noticing a difference late last year.
