Loving the walk through videos. Makes me feel like I'm in Thailand again without having to put up with the heat. It still amazes me how these huge markets actually operate.
Love these onetakes. This took longer than my food and snack lasted but i kept watching it, cause damn i've been away from Thailand for almost 2 years, i miss that place so bad.

Loved the video. I always love watching your videos of the different markets and the knockoff parts that they have to offer. Would love a fistful of cash and two days there to spend it
This is GOLD! They mold with carbon like we mold with fiberglass. I bet it's not expensive there like it is here in the States due to the supply and demand. I wish they had car swap meets here in TX like this. Cali used to have a few swap meets (Pomona, Long Beach) for cars only every weekend but nothing like this and mostly for older cars
Carbon fiber and fiberglass both are "fiber", both need resin, both need to be cured. So some carbon fiber parts can be done like fiberglass parts (no need for autoclave) if they are not structural parts, reducing the cost of manufcature.
Chad, I like your interactions. When you say hello and get no reaction, you are not deterred and nor should you be. You be you and the world will just have to adjust. Peace out Bro.

Hey Chad, great video. Question. I have a 2004 Honda CB 400. I want to change the body parts. Saw some from China. Do you think they sell thaose kind of parts there?
Chas amazing videos thanks so much for them it makes me really want to go to thailand to experience this great culture they are truly gearheads like us
I went to Thailand without knowing much about their car culture and was taken back. These videos are helping me plan my next trip, thanks again for the content 👍
In Thailand, the calculation of import taxes is primarily based on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) value of the goods. This includes the cost of the goods as stated in the commercial invoice, insurance typically at 1% of the cost, and the freight charges. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how these taxes are computed: Determine CIF Value: Add the cost of the goods, insurance, and freight to get the CIF value. Calculate Import Duty: Multiply the CIF value by the import tariff rate applicable to the specific Harmonized System (HS) code of your goods. Different types of goods have varying tariff rates. Compute VAT: Add the CIF value and the calculated import duty, then multiply the total by the VAT rate, which is currently at 7% but typically stands at 10%. Total Tax Payment: Sum up the import duty and VAT to find out the total tax payment due.
Thanks Chad! That was very cool. A good friend of mine worked in Bangkok designing car audio amplifiers. The new Class "D" amps will make a ton of power for cheap money.

i feel like car audio is making a comeback in the states, it used to be expensive and out of reach for most in the early 2000's, but now with online brands like d4s and skar like you mentioned it is more popular. Best buy was the main source back when i was a kid and it was like 1500 for a decent setup, which was my whole summer job savings lol. For 1500 these days you can get some serious equipment.
I really wish this was closer. I love knock off stuff especially if it’s made well. Sign me up! I had to look out the conversion rate that tailgate was only $208 usd. That’s mind bottling lol
We have this in manila, but instead of a compoud, it is a stretch of road called banawe street. It has japan surplus parts, genuine parts, car accessory shops, etc.
I think you nailed it. Almost everything avail in the US, including high end name brands, are made in China. I believe you when you said the Thai made copies are better quality. I find many footwear brands manufactured in other SA countries like Vietnam are better quality than the Chinese made ones.

Can someone tell me if there is crazy import duty on European specifically Mercedes car parts from Europe?

Total Tax Payment: Sum up the import duty and VAT to find out the total tax payment due.
The tariff rate in your case for car parts is 8,3%
If I saw a bunch of other vehicles using the lug nuts I might actually use them
