first thing I noticed was you inputting instead of which are both different. this is most likely the problem you are facing here as most self hosted web servers run on http. even if you are running on https many browsers block self-signed ssl/tls certificates and could be seen as more dangerous than a simple http connection
Good catch lad! I actually also ended up running with an SSL certificate also but the trouble was Tesla reserves local IP addresses for internal use! But I think theres a more native way to do this than VNC lol
@@zacharystainescould you not set up a dns server on your mac and point a local domain name record to the local up of the mac? Then on the telsa connect to the domain name you specified. This could trick the tesla Into thinking it's connecting to a external server

Hey Zachary, if you do a part two or something note that in chrome remotedesktop you can click on that little arrow and change max fps to 60 and tweak some other settings so it has Max fps
Okay so I have a few notes: 1. streaming Minecraft from anywhere to the tesla would totally defeat the purpose of this video as you can do the same on any device with an internet connection. 2. tesla's run some sort of linux distro, so it is probably possible to boot something like ubuntu on it and install minecraft that way. but if you want to go the local streaming route then you can use a combination of sunshine and moonlight in order to stream a computer at 60 fps at 1080p, as everything is local and the resolution is dependent on your internet bandwidth only.
could be working on windows or android if screen share actually mirroring on local side. since tesla didnt allow local connection to prevent hijacking, how about a wired instead. if you could run SCRCPY
if the tesla browser filtering for local addresses is only based on the url, one should still be able to run their own dns server for the local access point / router. that way the traffic should be able to route to a local machine using a normal text url. also vnc is probably not the best protocol for streaming games, idk if something like steamlink is usable in a browser
You know what you could do is you could treat that thing like a screen that you plug in. I'm not talking plug in like you plug into a cable I'm talking about soldering a full on computer inside of the dashboard, And have a switch where you can switch to the Tesla's OS and any computer you put in there. You will have to take the whole dashboard apart and have, get access to the motherboard. Not to mention you have to Sauder in an HDMI port, so that way you can plug in the H D M I with the computer of your choice, basically treating the screen like a display. You're also gonna have to figure out where the power is going to go for that computer. But I'm pretty sure you can take it from there. In any case, this is a pretty good idea, That way you don't mess up the Tesla's os system, and you get to have a computer inside of your car. Hope that helps.
