Last compartment, u can take out the mac filter n replace it with bio media. When placing back the divider, do not push it all the way down n leave a gap so u can drop in the bio media. When its like full than push it all the way down. Since only cleaned water passes through there, during maintenance u don't need to touch that part anymore n let the good bacteria live happily.
@salemabdullah594 Yes please make sure to fill all types of filters with water before you switch them on. If you dont do that then the pump will run dry and heat up and could cause fire!!!
@@Sinserg yes that should be good enough for a 10 gallon Now i understand why you dont want to use the skimmer 🤘🏽 Also the inlet make sure you cover it with some sponge or fine mesh / cloth Or else all those shrimp babies going to get sucket out
I wish you can post a video regarding noise level. I am used to submersible economic filters which just give out a hum. XBL600 is the one that suits my need, just worried it might be louder considering external motor.
It is pretty silent bro I sleep in the same room as my tanks and i have no issues with the noise As you said it is also just as good as a very low hummm
No soy un experto en electricidad. Puede ver videos de youtube que muestran cómo convertir un motor de 220v a 120v. Espero que esto te ayude. realmente lo siento hombre 💔
HBL, it allows for better media and foam placement in the trays, more consistent with the water flow. I have both the 802 and 803 and they are great filters. Sorry I wrote XBL in my original comment… HBL-802 and 803…..better filters than the XBL series…..
I have some questions 1:- Did you face any leakage or any other problem in these two years? 2:- And how much biomedia can it store, means 500gm or 1kg etc...
You need to check the volume of your tank bro, not only the height. The height can be 34 cm but length and width could be much much more. What are the total dimensions of your tank?

Congrats on 600 subs, came here cuz am buying the filter for a friend !
Hahaha thanks bro ❤️❤️, Do ask your friend to also visit the channel 🤘🏽
Your videos are soo informative...keep up the good work 👌👌👌
Insightful man.... Thanks for this detailed tutorial 🔥
Thankyou
You can remove the axis and mechanical filter from last compartment and add more biomedia there.
That's what the information i want tq buddy
Do we need to fill water inside the filter to make it running?
i had used only first divider. i have remove last divider and combined 2nd and 3rd compartment and placed bio media on it
I am using this filter however surface skimmer is not spinning.. dont know whats the problem
how to make it work? i've had a similar. but whenever i use or turned it ON it's not even working. there was no flow.
You fill it with water?

Can we adjust the intake and out volume ?
Hi, thank you for sharing, I have a question about the filter, is it possible to use it without the skimmer?
Yes you can use it with or without the skimmer as well. Both options can be kept
However i recommend using the skimmer
@@tropicaldiscovery Ok understood thank you for your quick response! I am planning to use it on my 10G shrimp tank. 😁

Got one, impressive for the price. Does a good job, and quieter than my internal power head.
Hi..what is the height of ur tank?
Nice informative 👍
Nice video very informative. Good job 👍
Thankyou
How much matrix fill up that section of filter?
I filled 1 section with sponge, the second section with matrix. The 3rd section was left empty
@@tropicaldiscovery thanks for explaining
@@stuardoruano5776 no worries, It's a good filter with a very nice flow. Plus it comes with a skimmer. Good value for money
@@tropicaldiscovery i see, how much matrix use to fill the 3 rd section?
@@stuardoruano5776 the 3rd section has a sponge inside it so I left it empty. I am not sure how much matrix you can put inside the 3rd section
Can it fit tank with rim ? Or onlyfit rimless aquarium?
Only on rimless
which one is the best HBL or XBL ?
Xbl
@@tropicaldiscovery any specific reason ?
@@vinoob25 xbl has a proper water flow system, has more space for filter media, attached skimmer, and attractive shape.

After long Experience which is better xbl or hbl
I have not used the HBL series so it wont be fair for me to give comparison. :)
Overall the XBL is very good and it comes with a skimmer as well.

I like the design. They really gotta come up with a sexier name than Sunsun.
I highly agree on that 😂
what is the size of your tank?
It is a 10 gallon tank
