I've been really struggling recently. I've had some massive downs in my life and at only 20 years old I've thought about ending my life so many times with the only thing stopping me being the fear of pain As things get worse I start to question what will actually hurt more? Pain and suffering for the rest of my life or some crazy pain just for a few moments? I sit on RUclips and On Spotify, I search for a song that has those perfect lyrics to match the felling or the perfect tone that hits my heart strings. I and many others consciously search for happiness and a way out but subconsciously go searching for the things that won't help us but make the pain more visable, wishing someone will hold us and tell us it's OK, hold our hands and just be that trusting wanting heart we all pray for. What we need to realise in unity is that things aren't going to get better. They will likely get worse, the political world is crumbling, there are viruses everywhere and people are becoming stupid, far more impulsive. We need to learn to deal with the things that are hurting us rather than looking to overcome it or praying it to go away. Noone is ever alone in this world, even if you feel alone in bed, looking at your phone to find no new notifications, go out your room for not a single soul to speak a word, go on Facebook to see everyone else's seemingly perfect lives, everyone's getting into relationships when you've just lost yours, everyone's mums and dad's are awesome when you've just argued with yours, that guy got the new Nike next percent running shoes the day you couldn't pay for a bus ticket. I know how some of you feel right this very second, 'oh I've read comments like this all the time' 'oh but he will never understand me, noone knows what Im going through' 'ah yeah but I can't be bothered, I just want to die' You sit in bed in silence, you can't find the song that will make you cry so you turn it off, your head falls back until it hits whatever is behind you, you hear the person laugh outside, you automatically assume they've got it figured out, you wish you were them. Silence hits you again, you shut your eyes, you think you just can't take it anymore. This comment probably seemed to make no sense to someone else reading but if it helped anyone then I that's a won. I guess the message I want to really get across is you aren't alone, those people with perfect lives are the ones that probably most depressed, you don't know how the person sitting next to you is feeling. Treat your parents with respect, treat your friends with respect but don't cling to them, trust people only enough that you won't get hurt when they betray you, go for runs daily, improve your physical, mental fitness, don't fuck up in school, it's OK to struggle, it's not ok to be your own failure. Everyone has a past, everyone holds a heart with massive potential to make a difference in the future, or right now, everyone hurts, everyone cries, but I can assure you at some point you'll smile and it'll feel great. I know not everyone uses Snapchat, my snap is connor_mallion I want you to add me if your sitting there and you feel alone, talking to a stranger can do a lot to someone when it's done right, mutual advice or emotional support from a stranger helps more sometimes than talking to friends, family.
