I cut this recipe in half and used a small amount of beer and THEY CAME OUT SO CRUNCHY AND DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing this restaurant quality recipe!
Thank you so much for your video! I never thought how well they would turn out even on the first try! I am a firm believer that batter beats breaded eveytime!
hey i tried this idea even though i dont eat onions have two hungry men to feed let me say one onion was not enough the even ate the crumbs you are a super person for sharing this thanks
The recipe is right on A+++. Delicious! Next time, I will not use my deep fryer. I will use a chicken fryer pan to manage the few onion rings. Will be far easier than trying to manage a basket of battered onion rings that had the tendency to stick to the wire basket. Not fun. But the taste results were wonderful! Thank you Deronda.
Hi Deronda ! Never tried batter fried onion rings ever...so I have just tried your recipe. Wow ..that was a hit with everybody ..yum.. thanks for that!
My husband said the rings were great and the fish was the best he ever tasted! I will be using this recipe all the time now. I want to try it on chicken as well. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thumbs up for at least telling how much of which/what to use! I hope to try these this weekend with Fish. So sick of watching useless videos that say add this and that and no clue how much of anything! I leave those negative comments and thumbs!
Hi Den!! You can find the full recipe, for these Crisp Fried BEER BATTERED ONION RINGS, below the video by clicking on SHOW MORE!! ENJOY this weekend!! -Deronda :)
Now that batter looks excellent Deronda. Nice and golden and they don't fall apart. Do you think to cut the onion rings a little thicker would be better? Everyone cuts them thicker that I've seen.
Bunches of thanks...Angie!! I've seen onion rings cut thicker & thinner. One great thing about making them homemade...we can make them the size we wish for!! Forever ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
Weren't you the one that taught us how to make Koo:Aid pies? I did that, and it turned out great! Plus, in this recipe, I was wondering what is the purpose of beer batter? I've seen this done by someone else before...
"Are "pepperika" and "skoower" regional pronunciations? If so, what region?" Using Rolling Rock beer you are obviously from the Pittsburgh area. Your video is one of the better informational videos out there as you even admit a "mistake" by not coating the onion in flour first. Personally, I would go with a bit thicker batter (40 years experience) but very well done, keep up the good work!
Hi, Deronda. Those onion rings look simply delish. They're perfect for the Super Bowl. What do you love about marinating chicken? Have a good day, Deronda. 💖💖💖
+Julio Julius Hi Julio!! Coating your onion ring with flour before dipping into the batter is best. Your onion rings will be light & crunchy after frying!! If your batter is too thick you may end up with a doughy center onion ring after frying!! ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
Foods101withDeronda don't explain to those idiots that's trying to tell you how to make your recipe if they knew how to make it I'm sure they wouldn't be here wasting their time watching thanks for sharing
She was figuring some of this out on the fly. More specific recipe sucks raw onion rings in cold water for 20 minutes. then dip them still wet into flour and allow them to dy for another 20 minutes. then put them in the batter about pancake thickness and fry them. Everything sticks a lot better. Don't go by specific time. Fry one or two and and check how crispy they are once cool. Then you will know the correct amount of time.

+Jorge Bueno Hi Jorge...You may substitute beer with seltzer water!! ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
For some reason this took 36oz of beer not 12oz but it was sure good!!
That happens when you double the beer-batter or do a little sipping during cooking...William!! Forever ENJOY!! -Deronda :)

Plus, in this recipe, I was wondering what is the purpose of beer batter? I've seen this done by someone else before...
LOVE ur crunching sounds!!! Will for sure try this recipe, might sub in smoked pepperika
I remember making the blooming onion. That was good. I use the same ingredients to make the batter.
Why the beer? Do you use it for the flavor or does it make the fried batter more crispy?
Flavor
I couldnt find pepper rica in the store.
then use regular paprika lol
🤣🤣🤣
LOL!! That cracked me up

That’s right. You don’t necessarily have to use all the beer. A thick enough batter is the key. 🤓
I can make squids ring??
Hi, Deronda. Those onion rings look simply delish. They're perfect for the Super Bowl. What do you love about marinating chicken? Have a good day, Deronda. 💖💖💖

Club soda
Alternative for beer plz
club soda. but Beer is the best. Dont worry, the alcohol evaporates when you fry the batter.
@@tyroneTy2024 it's funny seeing people freak out over the beer
Ummm...pap-a rica?
maybe instead of 1 beer?just half a bottle only or 3/4 of a bottle of beer,so that the batter become thicker ..... its just my opinion...
