    The recipe is right on A+++. Delicious! Next time, I will not use my deep fryer. I will use a chicken fryer pan to manage the few onion rings. Will be far easier than trying to manage a basket of battered onion rings that had the tendency to stick to the wire basket. Not fun. But the taste
    results were wonderful! Thank you Deronda.

    "Are "pepperika" and "skoower" regional pronunciations? If so, what region?" Using Rolling Rock beer you are obviously from the Pittsburgh area. Your video is one of the better informational videos out there as you even admit a "mistake" by not coating the onion in flour first. Personally, I would go with a bit thicker batter (40 years experience) but very well done, keep up the good work!

    • @mistergrendel32
      @mistergrendel32 2 года назад +1

      That’s right. You don’t necessarily have to use all the beer. A thick enough batter is the key. 🤓

    She was figuring some of this out on the fly. More specific recipe sucks raw onion rings in cold water for 20 minutes. then dip them still wet into flour and allow them to dy for another 20 minutes. then put them in the batter about pancake thickness and fry them. Everything sticks a lot better. Don't go by specific time. Fry one or two and and check how crispy they are once cool. Then you will know the correct amount of time.

    • @sl4983
      @sl4983 4 года назад

      Yes i was thinking more like three minutes? It's not like you have to cook onions to a certain temp for safety reasons
