Sliding Knot - Macrame Square Knot

  • Never know how long to make a necklace or a bracelet? Well, this brief video will show you a technique that puts an end to those problems! Using a sliding knot to finish off your pieces means that you can adjust the length to suit multiple variations.
    It also means that if you're adding a leather cord to a pendant, you'll be able to wear the pendant as a short length one day and the next, you could wear it really long with a flowing maxi dress. If selling your bracelets at craft fairs, whoever is buying the bracelet can adjust the length if they prefer to wear their bracelets a little looser / and / or / tighter!
    In this video, I've used a chunky suede cord in 2 different colours to try and make things look a little simpler. You could tie your sliding knots using chinese knotting cord, silk thread, leather cord, nylon cord, waxed cotton cord - whatever your heart and design desires.
