Good bit older than you and a newish subscriber but I wanted to say that I grew up in south central Kentucky and I wouldn’t trade my early years for anything. I moved away when I got married and never went back home but it’s still “home” to me 40 years later.
I'm happy for y'all. It is a lot to do but i know you can do it. I did the same. My husband and I decided to move two hours away also. It definitely makes it crazy. We had a buyer for our house and off we went. We moved upstate to where are daughters, son in laws and new grandson live.
Such exciting news!! I'm about an hour away from where I "think" you have said previously was home. Being is close to family is usually good!. Congratulations!!!!!
I feel ya. I get migraines with my time of the month too. I always have one or two days were I could sleep for literally 48 hour straight. Congratulations on your move!

A great educational system is a very good reason to move, coupled with the fact that you all are getting to move into your husband’s childhood home and your hometown makes your move so very worthwhile! On another note, I despise Aunt Flo… she’s got waitress timing… always showing up at the most inopportune times!

I’ve got family in Glasgow, Columbia, Burkesville, Albany, and Campbellsville. We moved to Nashville when I was about 3 but moved back to Columbia a couple times before finally staying in Nashville. My grandpa and grandma used to meet us in Glasgow at the Shell Station on 31E to pick my sister and I up to stay the summers with them.
Look at that Jr cinematographer go!! He showed his Silk milk and finished plate! 👏. I am so happy for you and the family. It will be overwhelming for a minute but when you look back you will be comforted that it’s complete. I am very sentimental so I think it would be amazing to move into a family childhood home. Glasgow Ky. It’s about 30 minutes from bowling green. A lot of people know bowling green, but not Glasgow.
