- Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic is on most travel lists for central Europe. When the channel started, our second walk ever happened in Prague. Now we return to the famous city in August 2020.
For obvious reasons there are fewer tourists this time around. We start our afternoon tour one of the main sights - the astronomical clock. This medieval timepiece on the facade of city hall is a tourist magnet every full hour.
We continue a quick round around the Old Town Square, pass St. Nicholas' Church and head towards the Charles Bridge via a few less explored side roads. When we get from the South of the Old Town back to the central streets we soon see another main sight: The Charles Bridge.
It takes a while crossing the Charles Bridge to Malá Strana. There in the "Lesser Town" we explore a few more streets, see the John Lennon Wall and a few nice backyards. We take our time to see the Vlatava River and ducks (now swans this time). Our path leads uphill as we want to see the Prague Castle.
After many steps we are surprised with a quick entrance to the castle. There we look around the castle complex, which was built since the 9th century, and is now the most significant Czech monument. After we've seen this area which had to be left out on our first walk, we enjoy the view over Prague.
The weather is nice and we've seen many touristic sites of Prague so we end this walk at Hradcany Square overlooking the "Golden City".

Tip to new visitors: Make sure to go up the tower (Old Town Bridge Tower) seen at around 18:18 (onwards) in the video. Go just before sunset for the most wonderful view of the bridge, the river Vltava, Little Quarter and, Prague castle in the background.

I'm getting such requests sometimes. I'm still exploring how that is possible as an overlay as it would be a distraction. There is development in the WebVMT format so we'll see when I get to build some website. Newer videos have GPS coordinates recorded. I hope to use them sometime soon

Thank you Henry! Prague is close to home so a quick weeklong trip through Czech Republic was the only thing possible this summer. Surely a different vibe than usual in the city. I walked in also less touristy parts though they are also less interesting. Coming later...

Many thanks for the video - Prague centre gorgeous as always. However, I did notice modernity creeping into the renovations (horrible tacky facade) of some houses on the historic Celetna street in my visit four years ago. Was rather sad to see that. Thai massage shops in the beautiful buildings are bad enough but this was almost total structural change to the front of the building...
Do you mean the buildings near where the street leads to the Powder Tower? They seem to have half timbered the lower floors but left the upper storeys intact.

I was also surprised how it looked and worked with so few mask in the Czech Republic - especially on trains... Hope it works out for them.

@@poptravelorg According to their Govt website masks are supposed to be mandatory on public transport and in shops (only shops in Prague for some reason). Anywhere else its ok not to wear them, basically the same as the UK where I am from.

Great! I'm using a DJI Osmo Pocket and a Zoom H1 microphone for the audio. The audio is optimized and synced before upload with the video. Both devices are connected to a power bank for long filming. The camera and the mic especially are surely visible. It's still a rather small rig to hold in one hand. In case audio comes from the Osmo Pocket it is noted in the video description and I may record videos with a larger rig with Z-Axis stabilization once travel is possible again

I have this question in my mind how could u make this video so fast like your in different countrie every three days is it like u travel all the time or u have some people in other countries do it for u or how I'd like to know from u 😊
The videos are from different trips and different times. While this Prague video was recorded just a few days before publishing other walks happened earlier. I sometimes record 2 videos per day though instead of posting them all / several videos of the same city in a row I publish a mix of places to keep it interesting. You can find the month / year of recording in the video description. There was no traveling from March - August 2020 though I was able to keep posting regularly

For real though: I hope to get the new Sony A7S3 with a gimbal and maybe a nice 20mm lens. That would make a fantastic 4K60 full frame setup. I'm opening membership sometime soon so maybe the channel will finance such investment

Not mandatory yet in the Czech Republic. I was also surprised - no masks also on trains there while masks are mandatory in Germany. From September '20 masks have to be worn on public transport in CZ
