Professor Dame Mary Beard discussed how her fascination with Classical cultures began with an ancient piece of cake; and why she's more interested in the lives of everyday Romans than their Emperors.

Our courses range from beginners to advanced levels. You can work towards joining a reading group where you will tackle some of the more advanced texts in the original language.
