Jak's original VA was on temporary hiatus during the time this game was made due to medical reasons. He even considered retirement. But he's said in a recent interview he is down to come back if another game is made

@@HellfireLotus Josh Keaton will never be jak in my eyes. Every time he voices jak, I hear spiderman in his voice. I'm so glad that Mike Erwin says he'll voice jak again. Playstation Move Heroes wasn't great but they had Mike Erwin as jak and they had more respect for the character than the Lost Frontier.

You know, I really like how Jak sounds more lively in this game. In Jak 2 and Jak 3, he sounded a little deep like batman, but in PlatStation All-Stars Battle Royale, he sounds less heavy lifted and more expressive, and I like it a lot.

Sorry but Jak's new voice actor doesn't have my heart. 😠😔
Edit: His voice is too light in this version. I loved it in Jak II, III, and X. Much more serious and catching of attention.

That was one of the main reasons why I really hated the Lost Frontier because they've changed Jak's voice actor. Every time that Josh Keaton voices Jak, I still think of Spiderman. He just never will be jak in my eyes. Mike Erwin is jak and he'll always be. That's one of the reasons that made Jak 2 one of the best sequels because of Mike Erwin and the fact that jak talked for the first time was a miracle because he was a mute in the first game.
