Wee Jasper is one of my fave spots. Michelong Creek is the best! I normally stayed to the left of the wooden bridge where the long drops are. I'd walk to the camp kitchen and showers as needed. Access to the river on that side is pretty easy. BTW, WJ is 376m above sea level, in a bowl, so can be unpleasantly cold in Winter - but the Trout fishing works 😁😁
Yea we went down that way too and there were already some people down there, such a beautiful camp there! Yea we definitely felt the cold and we were there in spring 😂 I couldn't imagine winter 🥶 Such a beautiful spot 🤩
great epp guys great to see yahs on road again beautiful spot is wee jasper fresh in the water at easter time 🥶🥶i took a dip in rapids instant brain freeze 🥶🤣
Hey Guys, how beautiful is Wee Jasper. You don't get many campsites better than that. Hey Tj, you may want to think about having a 'low speed' lock up kit installed in the 200. I had Just Autos install both a high speed and low speed lockup kit when they tuned my 200. It really helps keep your trans temps cool when you're pulling 3.5T up step hills. It locks up the torque converter at ~45km/hr. It's a game changer and takes a lot of stress out of driving up hills and rangers. Cheers Paul 👍
I wish tourists would go off the beaten track and see how beautiful Australia’s nature is . They tend to stick to the tourists attractions only and fail to see the rest . Even some of them will tell you that they have travelled the world and have seen bigger and better overseas. I love your beautiful video . Enjoy !
Oh gosh yes! That's the worst mountain we've towed on lol normally there's abit of relief inbetween climbs, but it just seemed to always be climbing 😂😂
Welcome to NSW mountains you will encounter many more like that. You soon will know if your tow rig has any issues climbing them. Our LC200 goes into a limp mode kinda of thing with no warning lights and not over heating. Have been told to put after market air intake. I don’t know why it does it sometimes and only when towing. Enjoy your travels and stay safe.
'Fix a Tap" brand sell a a 4 way anti vandle key that suit most hose taps.We used ours when on the road.Any hardware or plumbing supplies sell them.I work for Samios Plumbing Supplies and sell them if you need one(Labrador an the Gold Coast)
If your scan gauge set up same as my dmax the 130 degrees would be the converter temp my pan temp is always lower than the converter on hills or around town when below lock up kph.
You always struggle with water??? Buy a 110L water bladder for your car, which can roll up and go under your seat when not being used. Then obviously you can pump or gravity feed into your caravan without having to move your van 🙌 and yes get a $10 plumbers key from bunnings so every tap can be accessed
No we're actually pretty good with water, we can get a week out our tanks in the caravan, but we needed to fill it up after we used it off grid at our last stop 😁 We've looked at a bladder before, great invention! We will definitely be investing in that for the tap! Very handy!
Hello Mini Me & Mini You and the Minis, Looking good & relaxed. I love your videos & going through past videos. Have you had any problems with the Jayco ? What Apps do you use for finding camps ?
Clyde mountain, its transmission killer.. i had the same issue installed a intercooler fans and all good now. The lockup kit should be switched off when doing a steep climb. Cheers
Also tow in 4th gear only, torque converter is always engaged in4th, so less stress on transmission. Engine revs will be higher but fuel economy will be slightly better
Did I hear you guys say you have a lockup kit installed for over 80kmph in the auto? If so, I could have an answer for next hills you encounter to stop any overheating
Yes lockup kit works fine during flat towing. I always tow in s4 never in d. It also has a low speed lockup but I wasn't sure how this worked all I know is the normal lockup locks in at 80km. Cheers
@@fivedownunder Cool. I was just going to say - if it doesn't lock under 80 and you were driving in auto D the torque converter would definitely heat up Always use manual gears uphill, that will certainly stop torque converter heating, and pick one gear, don't go changing because that'll cause lots of heat
You can get a tap key that suits 4 different spindle types from Bunnings for $15. Fix a tap is the brand & it’s called a anti-vandal garden tap key
Dam you've given Tj another reason to visit Bunnings hahaha 😂 thankyou for your tip tho will definitely be getting that! 🙌
Yep I got one, great piece of kit.
We loved Wee Jasper. Enjoy. Love your videos. 👏😘
So beautiful isn't it 😍 Thankyou for watching 🤗
Fantastic video as always guys. Always look forward to your vids! 💪🏻💪🏻👍🏼👍🏼
Thankyou so much Matt! You're a legend! 🙌🙌
I grew up in Batemans Bay, absolutely stunning part of the world - I miss the old bridge though!
It is seriously beautiful! We had never been to that area before! Definitely going back! 😃
WOW what a great spot especially in summer
Incredible spot! Yes if it was a little warmer it would have been even better to be able to get in the water 💦 Such a gem!

I agree! There is so much to see around Australia and its truly beautiful ❤️
You can buy a key for the taps at bunnings
Amazing thankyou so much 🙌🙌 will be a huge lifesaver for finding water 💦
The old Clyde mountain is a challenge with the van on !!!!
Oh gosh yes! That's the worst mountain we've towed on lol normally there's abit of relief inbetween climbs, but it just seemed to always be climbing 😂😂

Hey guys, go to Bunnings and buy yourself the tool that has 4 end to it to fit all the taps with no handles and you then have access to their water.
Amazing! Thankyou so much, will definitely be doing that! 🙌😜
If you can lock transmission into a gear, lock it into a lower gear. Keep engine revs up. Stops all the gear hunting back and forth.
If your scan gauge set up same as my dmax the 130 degrees would be the converter temp my pan temp is always lower than the converter on hills or around town when below lock up kph.
Can you hold this 😅😅😅😅
Hahahaha omg 🫣😂 how funny!

Hello Mini Me & Mini You and the Minis,

Did U just put the pizza base directly on the roasting rack in the Ziggy?
Yep 🙌 and cooked perfectly. We used to use a pizza stone but tried it out one day without it and worked perfectly 😁

05:20 what was the name of the Pass that you drove up? Surely not the one from Batemans Bay?
Clyde Mountain! 😅
@@fivedownunder holey moley! how did you do around the hairpins?
Your pushing that auto hard. Fit a extra trans oil cooler. Use your trans lock up in manual mode.
Wombats can run up to 40 kmh!
40kmh! Wow! That doesn't actually surprised me, those little fellas absolutely legged it sooo fast 😂😂
👏👏👏👍👍👁️👁️😎😇🐕🦺currently at Kilcoy Queensland and life is good ❤️🇦🇺
Amazing, I'm sure you've got some nice weather there at the moment coming closer into summer 🙌🌞
