      The coaching staff failed. He could easily average 20-25 points right now in a solid system, unlike the Thunder, who don't have a system

    • @Nigerian_Papi
      @Nigerian_Papi 6 лет назад +62

      When you throw him in a system like this yes he’ll do nothing. This dude was a ball handler and the first scoring option in NYC now he’s the third.

      Nope its not about the coaching staff, its about the player you have and their skill, if the players cant pass the ball or create some ball movement as a team, coaching staff cant do shit, and melo is clearly someone that doesnt induce ball movement.

      i was wondering who would give the rockets a better run for their money. i was hoping the thunder would win the series but they just looked pathetic throughout the series. russ and pg iso the entire game is not beating the rockets. i'd like the jazz to be competitive but they seem to be another minnesota-like team that can't score enough points.

      Bro dude is a veteran......he knew the refs where against them and were not gonna allow them to win ....so he just became a zombie. He knows the business .......but Westbrook is and always will be a try hard so he started jacking up threes every time because that’s all he could do when the refs allow the defense to ride ur hip and hand check. Disgusting game with crooked refs controlling every aspect.

  • @javianjohnson8746
    @javianjohnson8746 6 лет назад +281

    Donovan Mitchell’s is the rookie of the year! IDGAF. The Jazz were 19-28 at the beginning of 2018, and went on MULTIPLE 10+ winning streaks. This man outplayed the reigning MVP, and sent him home as a ROOKIE. Donovan did it with his team. Yes Gobert is huge, but games like against the Suns, Pelicans, and Spurs shows Donovan’s dominance. Ben Simmons literally has an ALL-STAR on his team. Think about that. #MyROTY

      Anything Viral true but Simmons had one year to see how the game flows even on the sidelines..
      How prepare for a game..
      Scouting reports on players..
      I mean he was basically an Intern for one year and not to mention some offseason workouts with the King himself Lebron he had it setup but when you talk a rookie straight from the draft to the league I mean my “goodness “Mitchell is just something else I truly believe he should be rookie of the year..nothing against Simmons he’s a beast himself..

    Difference of westbrook and any other pgs is that a typical pg tends to make his team mates better and more productive. Westbrook's consecutive triple doubles and this game's 46 baskets won't matter
    Harden makes his team to be more productive by giving the ball to an open man.
    Same to LeBron.
    Kyrie's absence forced his team mates to step up.
    GSW handled 1 round of playoffs without curry.
    Westbrook can win it if being an effecient individual player counts.
    But this is a team sport.

      I get what you're saying, but i feel like Westbrook's mentality is "If no one else is going to make shots, i'm going to have to make all of them." Whether that is good or bad, people keep talking about how the Thunder was supposed to be this power house, but honestly, none of the new players really stepped up. Paul George had a few good games, but over-all, he didn't produce half as well as people expected. He was given the minutes to come in as a primary ball handler almost every game and pretty much choked. Paul George's inconsistency has been a big issue this season. Carmelo Anthony has also had a terrible impact on the team. He can't defend most of the starting 4's in the NBA, can't hit a wide open shot, and didn't even act like he wanted to win at all. I think too much emphasis has been put on Westbrook. He's had a really good season and try's to get his teammates good looks. He doesn't play the highest IQ basketball sometimes, but no one man can beat a team 4 times by himself. Conclusion: Paul George is too inconsistent to work for OKC and Carmelo Anthony plays like trash in the Thunder's system. We would be much better off with a team of consistent role players.

Have you guys ever played with a player that literally would pass the ball to you out of desperation and would expect to get it back to jack up his own shot every single time? I did, and I stopped playing offense after the first quarter, only played D, and the dude only realized it halfway through the third quarter. That is RW in a nutshell. I would hate to play with a player like him, and I think most stars do too. He is an incredible talent and a horrendeous decision maker. As long as he is a PG, they aint winin shit.

      Wasn't it a first round exit last year too? I remember because he lost to Harden's Rockets. It was like the NBA put the MVP hopefuls in a match to prove who's better.
      That Harden lost in the very next round to the Spurs who were missing Kawhi kind of ruins what respect he'd built up though.

    • @coo3disk1
      @coo3disk1 6 лет назад +5

      Yeah, team wise they did better, but they only won one more game in the regular season & playoffs (won 2 instead of 1) than last they did last year. Winning one more game than last year with a big three is not really successful, the Thunder were supposed to at least make it to the semi-finals and only lose to either Golden State or the Rockets in game 7.
      Individually, Russell Westbrook wasn't in the top three of the mvp race this year, he had better numbers overall, he hit more game winners, won mvp, and etc last year.

Volume shooting at its best and he’s a player who’s pretty much useless without holding the ball. He has a fierce passion to win but he’s got the completely wrong idea of how to win. Give at least 20 of the 40 shots he took to his teammates (off good passes at least) I guarantee okc would’ve pulled a comeback instead of trying to do everything himself

    Mitchell reminds me of Wade, fearless in attacking the basket, can finish with either left or right, plus he can shoot 3s. Wade was the reason Shaq picked Miami as a trade destination. I don't know what Utah's salary cap situation is, but I'm pretty sure Utah is now a legit free agent choice this summer regardless how far they get in the playoffs.

    Wow, 2 huge no calls on PG attempting 3s. I know the refs swallow whistle in the playoffs but the last attempt Gobert fouled PG. And then the 2 min report tomorrow will probably say something like PG got fouled which does absolutely nothing.
    If Billy Donovan has the ball to bench Carmelo after game 3 then maybe the outcome of the series would be different. Melo in the game the Jazz attacked him relentlessly and extend the lead. Melo out of the game the Thunder made a run. Just fucking retire already. Melo’s ego cost the Thunder’s season and presumably PG’s future with the team.

      In both attempts Pushoff P was trying to initiate the contact because he knew he was bricking them and wanted to get to FT line like a bitch

      OKC had a ton of chances to tie the game, but that doesn’t change the fact that George should’ve been shooting some foul shots.

      Don’t even with this “refs lost the Thunder the game” bullshit. The refs missed a couple calls just before the end of the game that went the Thunders way. It was make-up no call. Not to mentioned the horrible calls against Gobert and Favors in game 5.
