    Amazing to see entire process from earth to finished pieces. What a balance of work horse and artist in this man. I just kept thinking though...his poor lungs!

    Absolutely amazing. He seems so calm and at peace seems that is what pottery does for you. He worked hard. Thank you very much for sharing these wonderful videos. Wonder if his kids are potters.

      A concept important to civilisation is the dignity of work. Automation has taken away much of that and alienation often takes its place

    There's a coal seam just above the pottery, although I'm not sure it was still productive in the 60s.
    The great scandal is the state the buildings have been allowed or encouraged to deteriorate to by the present owner. I think he has plans to build houses on the site.

    heritage uk should buy the site of his pottery and preserve it.
