Rule no 1: Stock price double every 9-10years. For STI, price 10 years ago at 2011 is almost the same in 2022 now! And this index comprises of blue chips in Singapore market and the businesses are making money! 😂
Because of the lack of liquidity to pump the Singapore stocks, which is why companies like Razer listed in HKG (but delisted in May), and Sea and Grab listed in US.
This is basically good advice but you should always remember the Nikkei. 30 years of being under water. Markets don’t have to always continue to go up.
Quite interesting and educative. The mistake most people make is waiting till it is too late before investing. This is the time and season when bold steps are to be taken, wealth begins in the mind.

Adam knows what he's doing. However, these rules aren't one size fits all. If someone is closing in on retirement, holding on to investments and enduring huge losses will be costly, and could prolong years before retirement. Every investor needs to assess their goals and see what strategy fits them. Also, if you decide to "buy and hold" but you can't sleep at night due to compounding losses, its not worth it.

Watch a lot of Adam’s videos which seem logical accurate and spot on. The challenge for me anyway, is practical application. It’s not hard to become overwhelmed by the data involved in this type of research and end up with “paralysis by analysis”. Now only if we had a list of companys that had have real intrinsic value that could be researched for a thorough understanding of this trait. 😆
Adam, you need a discipline strategy that tells you when to sell and then buy back. If you are following only 100 stocks this should be easy to do. If you don't have a sound strategy then buy and hold is the best strategy.
