Draw the m in and tell everyone you meant to do it that way. With junk journaling things can be quirky and nobody cares! In my current Summer Travel Journal I have put the dates on wrong or upside down so many times. It's a mazing what a little piece of paper and a glue can do for repairs. I am working in a hard cover journal right now and will make a soft cover like yours when I get home because mine is getting to be quite a chunky monkey without a lot of forgiveness! Hope it lasts another three weeks!
The paper-bag/fabric journal covers are my favorite type of covers right now. I love the sound and the softness it provides. I also must say, I adored this new digital kit, specially the background add-ons. The colors, especially the splash of blues, is everything.
That was a very entertaining video Barbara. I was waiting for you 🎉to miss the M from September . Hilarious. Thank you for the very useful printing advise re paper and quality.
I think this kit is my favourite that you have made. Most of the books I make have ochre and some type of blue, usually towards the turquoise, and shades of rust.
Barbara, Barbara, BARBARA!!!!! Guess what I did? I ordered myself a Printer!! Finally. I’m so excited. It will be here on Saturday. Just had to tell someone who would understand how exciting this is for me! Lol. Can’t wait to go order some digitals. Lol♥️♥️♥️
Barbara, these digitals are just beautiful. Just beautiful!!! Will be purchasing now. As to this set of videos, I love them. You are so funny and adorable. And artistic! And I love your mistakes. Thanks for making them. "Signature stitch." I'm cracking up.
I printed this kit on 32 lb 100% white matte paper and was blown away by the ethereal feel of them! They look amazing and I love the colors. Fall is waving hello in them for sure. These 2 videos were inspiring and easy to follow 😍
Gold splatters do make life more magical! 😁 And may I say again that I think this is your best digital set yet! There’s something so serene about the hues, shades & tones you’ve chosen. (I am a big fan of metallics - made some gorgeous Gelli prints on brown packing paper, where I just put little blobs of rich gold, rose gold, copper & silver, then semi-blended them with a brayer to make a lovely blend of all the colours so they meld together but still have areas of each colour. Still planning to add some small patches of rust, turquoise & burgundy dry brushed on as well to really make them a rich colour blend. … sorry, babbling as I just finished night shift & need to sleep. Night night 😊 16:00 still watching - and just remembered where my inspiration came from - that Tim Holtz fabric lol. Ok. Really must sleep & watch the rest later zzzzzzzzz
Oh Barbara, I love your new papers but I have to wait to finish my current projects that are pinks and blues. As always I love the gold splatters. I love your cover, I'm glad you stuck with the huge sunflower. I've been wanting that flower stencil and now I know I need it. Love your 3 journals for 2023. Mwah! 😻🧡💛

In a million years, I couldn’t have anywhere near your talent! Love how your planner is turning out! Love it! However, I’m going nuts wondering how you missed the ‘M’ in September! It’s so not you. 🫢
As I said in part one, these are very beautiful papers. I want to become as brave as you are. I have really tried to stop my perfectionist behavior. I want to just take fabrics and paper and experiment. It seems so second nature to you. I’m learning. I’m learning. I’m trying 😊❤
I’m with you! It’s not easy to teach the brain to let go, but so rewarding when we can. I have found that embracing relatively uncontrollable mediums like Brushos, alcohol inks, watercolour & the Gelli plate have helped. Out of all the things I’ve created, it’s ones I never meant to make but who just told me what they wanted to be, that I tend to love best. Even in comparison to intricate projects I’ve spent days on.
Barbara: so the “m”is missing. No big deal. Who cares? It’s kinda of quirky . The colors are beautiful for this journal. Love them. They are so inviting. Carol from California

Or something like that. And on the inside of the fabric cover with a wrinkle you can glue a tuck spot (or something like that) to cover it.
The digitals and planner are so beautiful!! It's probably already fixed, but I think you should leave September spelled wrong & make something funny with it😄! I love your fast forward giggles!! Thank you for a great video! ❤
I think this last Journal of the year is going to be one of your favorites! This kit is so beautiful. You’re going to have a hard time with the last 3 months kits. How can you top this one? And I agree about the blue. It’s kind of a warning that winter will be here soon. Where did this year go? Lol
Barbara, you missed the M! LOL sounds like something I would do. I am working on a journal and just did my first 5 hole stitch. I always do the 3. Love this journal and all your pages. TFS! ❤
❤ I love everything about the kit and your planner so super beauty ❤ the printed pages of your kit are on my desk waiting to be transformed into a journal 🎉
In case you need another book to read, I highly recommend “When We Have Wings” by Claire Corbett (an Australian author). On the surface, it’s very different to this author’s, but it’s fascinating in many ways. It’s set in a future where technology has enabled humans to be adapted to have wings grafted on. And this changes our world, because it literally elevates those who can afford them, to truly live looking down on others. But of course, many of the wealthy need nannies for their hopefully winged children (genetically modified through the process their parents went through to enable their body to go through the grafting process & to survive the unique conditions required of flight). But children are a whole new issue. Those with two winged parents are more likely to be able to be modified, but some can’t. So what happens if you have parents whose child can’t live fully in a world created for the winged? Especially in a community sector often so focused on being the best & flawless? And how do you cater best for children in a world of elevated platforms without many stairs, even if they can grow wings? So some poorer people can have the opportunity for truly life-changing surgery to staff the homes of the winged. But of course, this sort of division in society creates wider problems & opportunities for corruption, rebellion & social change. There’s more though - the book starts with an inexplicable murder of a friend of the main protagonist, a fellow Nanny. And throughout the book, the mystery of why she was murdered is unravelled, as well as many other layers of mystery & intrigue. And throughout, the author manages to describe the experiences of the winged in such a way that you will truly believe that one day, humans having wings will not just be possible but inevitable. And she describes the nuances of flight so eloquently & descriptively, that you will literally feel what it might be like to fly. I read this book many years ago, just as I qualified as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic in Australia & started working on a helicopter. As I read it & spent hours flying around my region, separated from the air currents by only a thin skin of metal, and on occasions with windows & doors open, the water or ground rushing by or bearing closer. And as I was immersed in a world of flight, I realised just how accurate her descriptions of it are. So it gave me a unique understanding of this part of the world I was spending so much time in. I actually did a review along those lines & the author contacted me. Apparently she spent time with hang gliders to do research into how flight actually feels, to make it as realistic as possible. So not only did I enjoy the intrigue, the characters & the stark look at how society could possibly be even more sharply divided into “the haves” & “the have nots”, it has always stayed with me as a memory of what might be possible. So much so, that when I try to shut my brain down before sleeping (not always easy in my line of work), I actually use the imagery of lying on my side & being able to fold a soft wing over myself to keep me cocooned in warmth & safety. And when a breeze whispers over me, I use that imagery to imagine using the wind to soar. Anyway. As I said, it might not be your style of book at all, but if you ever do read it, I hope you enjoy it & get as much out of it as I did.
Did you go back and fix the spelling of September? heheh that's totally something I would do too!! My neighbor recommended her two previous books, I have them on my library list to check out soon. Always good to hear from multiple people that books are good reads!
Your kit is stunning! My printer just doesnt work well enough for these, even after adjusting its settings. I love how you folded some of the papers so they arent straight in the signature, super fun ❤ Thank you for continually inspiring me 😊 and making me laugh 😂
I'm so happy you don't 'build a tempel' for each planner! That would be hard work. 😉😆 Such beautiful papers! They really do embody autumn. 😊 Btw, when did you realise you forgot the m? Did you leave it misspelled or do we see that in the next video... in that case, no spoilers! 😄
@@49dragonflies 😂 I love that you don't edit out these things! Makes me laugh, with you, every time. And, I'm reminded of not to drink tea while watching, since there can potentially be tea fountains... 😄
Splat splat splat! Always looks good 😍. Such pretty colours! It's just a shame they haven't invented metallic printer ink 🙈. I wholeheartedly agree about the paper and settings! Oh no 🙈, your 'M', when did you realise? It was talking and spelling at the same time! You built a temple? I'm impressed 🙊. I still don't like pamphlet stitch, I guess I'll always be a coptic stitcher 🤷. Taping the envelope down is a great idea 💡. Um...a British tennis champion? Lol we don't often get those these days 🙈, definitely a work of fiction😄. Oh great place to read that particular book! I LOVE autumn 💖 just as well as we've had autumn weather all summer🙊. I miss kicking the leaves, flattening them with my wheelchair doesn't do it for me 😄😄😄. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I absolutely love this! Question: Do you always prefer to sew in "regular" (coffee dyed, etc.) pages for the signature first and then glue on the monthly digital set? Or do you mainly do that in just your planning journals? I can see why you would so that next month you'll have a different digital you'll put in.

Thanks Carrie. That book sounds intriguing and must have been incredible to relate to in your line of work. How cool that the author contacted you. Definitely putting this one on my list! 😊❤️
On my 2nd one(which i did NOT sew the pocket down this time), and i added black paint splatters….as i am drying them with my hair dryer, i am also eating a slice of pizza and dipping it into basalmic fig glaze. I thought i dripped glaze on the table, so i used my finger to get it and licked it --it was paint!!! NOT sauce!😂😂😂😂😂
Who needs a M anyway? Unless you’re eating M&M’s. Then it’s important! 🤭🤭 what s the brand of copy paper you use? I’m sure you’ve probably mentioned it 100 times, but I didn’t write it down. Sorry,:
Woohooooo!!!!! I FINALLY made this, without sewing the pocket closed! I will show it on insta and tag you. I am 4grace over there, (and in your fb group i am Dawn Thatch). Thanks soooooo much for this tutorial. Now to figure out how to print your digitals without buying a new printer, lol
And I love this new digital kit., of course I love them all

Or something like that. And on the inside of the fabric cover with a wrinkle you can glue a tuck spot (or something like that) to cover it.
Thanks! I did just that with the tuck spot. Video coming up in a couple of weeks… 🧐
The digitals and planner are so beautiful!! It's probably already fixed, but I think you should leave September spelled wrong & make something funny with it😄! I love your fast forward giggles!!

Way too long! 😂😂😂
That’s tooo funny!! I knew Barbara wouldn’t leave that M out!!🤣🤣

And if anyone else reading this happens to know a huge movie producer, imo this would make an excellent movie!
Kind regards, Carrie 😊
Thanks Carrie. That book sounds intriguing and must have been incredible to relate to in your line of work. How cool that the author contacted you. Definitely putting this one on my list! 😊❤️

I’ll be back. 1:45

On the very first page, is September supposed to be spelled like that without the M?
No.. she noticed after making the video. She mention in text telling us that she missed the M but never noticed it during the project.
M
Who needs a M anyway? Unless you’re eating M&M’s. Then it’s important! 🤭🤭 what s the brand of copy paper you use? I’m sure you’ve probably mentioned it 100 times, but I didn’t write it down. Sorry,:
😂😂😂
I use a brand called Clairefountaine for my copy paper.
@@49dragonflies thank you ❤️
