Also, when RBI doesn't allow same legal entity to do Bank and Broking businesses, how come SEBI gave an exemption to ICICI Bank from not conducting a reverse book building exercise to discover price for the delisting, quoting that the Bank and ISec were in the same line of business ? If they were in the same line of business, then, isn't it a violation of RBI Banking License ?

Why no body is talking about SEBI giving needed exceptions for merger to "too big to fail" club generously to ICICI bank . I feel once IPO is done , reverse book building must happen for demerger. if everyone believes the valuation reports then there shouldnt be an IPO to begin with for retail holders - let all institutions play among their selves and keep doing scams like these without retail shareholders.
