“Most of life is maintenance, so if you find it (maintenance) annoying, then you’re going to be annoyed most of your life”. I don’t know if you realize it but that is an absolutely brilliant insight. Thank you for reminding me of this again. Even after 65 years I am still learning that if I will simply take the next right step and keep repeating that, then I will be in the right place right now and I will find my way to next right place. Maintenance is one of those many aspects of life that is simply the next right step. Here’s hoping you find your next right place. Really enjoying your videos.
Dylan, I began following you for purely adventure reasons while you had your van, but you've grown into such a fantastic, entertaining, educational, funny and philosophical success. I often walk away with pearls of wisdom. 👍
Your skill at creating these vids is just stellar. Your humor, along with your insight, is some of the best. And your new ending is the best. Strong work, Dylan!!
Hi Dylan! I'm so glad I met Sitara and heard about your channel!! I've been really enjoying your videos!! Hope you're well and safe! Sending love and positive vibes from Thessaloniki!
Hey Dylan! Stumbled across your channel yesterday and watched a couple of your recent videos: I really enjoy them, so washed my hands and subscribed! Now watching some of your earlier work (Malta) and loving the narration of how you approached crew selection (if that's the right word) and team-building: I'm right with you on this! I haven't sailed (properly), but have done many other adventurous things with teams and (for me) it's all about the relationship(s) between the individuals and the cultivation of a 'team' spirit, guided and encouraged (not forced!) by the leader/ crew-chief/ captain. It will then become (far) greater than just a group of people 'doing' a task: ESPECIALLY when things get tricky! What I've found, is that the word 'team' or 'crew' is thrown around far too much these days, without people really having any real idea of what a REAL team is; how they work or how to build it! What then seems to happen, is that the 'leader' then wonders why the team isn't functioning as they'd wish and blame them; when actually it's their leadership skills that they need to question and address. OK, enough if my blah, blah! Off to wash my hands again! Keep the cool content coming. Great work! Stu ;-)
Dylan Magaster sorry to hear that. I had assumed that’s what happened as we started to see less and less of her in the videos but thanks for confirming.

What was the website you used to find the crew members? I think I'd like to volunteer on a boat.
