    What a nice piece of gear! What's your opinion about the iFootage Shark Nano Slider?

    • @MattRozier1
      @MattRozier1 2 года назад

      Hey Ronald do you find you have any jitters with the shark nano? Thinking especially for product shots?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 года назад +1

      @@MattRozier1 O don’t have any jitters with the slider. They only occur if you use a very heavy lens so that the camera isn‘t balanced at the center of the slider. If that’s the case I use a longer mounting plate for the Komodo head and put the camera a bit backwards so that the center of the weight is at the center of the slider. I hope you know what I mean.

    I’m waiting for it to become available again. Looks like the best option for a compact 2-axis slider. Great info!

      Yes I had to wait as well when I purchased it. But it’s worth it 😉

    Thanks for this video! For full 90 degree vertical, it's best not to use the moving plate to mount on a tripod. Better to use the mont point on the end of the slider opposite the control panel

    Recently grabbed the iFootage shark slider nano and absolutely love it. Only complaint is that it now comes in a cheap styrofoam carrying case compared to the nice iFootage bag.

    Great video! I'm between this slider vs the iFootage Shark Slider Mini (which is the previous version I think). Which one would you recommend?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 года назад

      Thank you! Well I like the Nano because it’s an all-in-one system. And it’s incredibly easy and quick to setup your slider angles. On the other hand the travel distance is not too much, if you need more than 35cm then I‘d probably go for the Mini.

    Is that the Lowepro 450 backpack that you had it in? Doesn’t appear to fit, at least not very well. I have the 450 and wonder if I need something larger?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 года назад

      It’s the Lowepro BP 350 AW II, in the 450 it should fit well.

    Great quick to the point review. I think even with the downside to moving vertically this efficient setup fits my needs. 2 ?'s... What tripod is that you show and what camera settings did you use for that office time-lapse? I really liked the motion blur. Not sure if it was in post or in the individual shot. Subscribed! I like your style.

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 года назад

      Hi Dave, thanks for subscribing! The tripod is a tinkteek wing and I love it because it’s so light and portable but sturdy. The timelapse was filmed in kormal speed, I just sped it up in final cut pro, there was no extra motion blur added. Cheers!

    Fab video. I will be using it with the A7SIII for a second dynamic shooting angle for interviews. Any recommendations on whether I should use a wide shot (Sony 24mm GM 1.4) or a close shot (Zeiss Batis 85mm 1.8)?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 года назад +1

      Hi! I have the Sony A7siii as well and used it last week with the slider for an Interview. I shot it at 35mm so if your options only are 24 or 85mm, I'd suggest to shoot at 24. Because cropping in in a 4K shot is always possible and with 85mm you may run into distance-problems. I had the same last week, where I used my second camera (Canon EOS R) as a B-CAM on a tripod with a 85mm lens. I had problems to move it as far away as I wanted it to be because there was a wall behind the camera ;-)

      @@RonaldKasper very helpful I am just about to get the Sony FE 35mm 1.8 and sense from your feedback that it’s the perfect focal length and it’s also a very light lens 👍

    Servus Ronald, habe auch den Slider gekauft. Welches Stativ bzw wie würdest den Slider auf Stativ montieren? Mit Nivelierbasis? Ich habe ein Gitzo GT2545.

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 года назад +1

      Servus! Ich verwende den Slider auf einem TinkTeek WING Stativ (selbstverständlich ohne den Kugelkopf und auch irgend eine Nivelierbasis). Ich verwende das Stativ weil ich es extrem tief stellen kann und es durch die weit rausragenden Beine sehr stabil ist und nicht kippt. Ich verwende den iFootage Komodo K5 Fluid Head am Slider, wie in diesem Video zu sehen ist: ruclips.net/video/had8i3BoTok/видео.html (ca bei 02:40)
      And in english since not everybody can speak german:
      The question was which tripod I use. It's the TinkTeek WING which I use without the ballhead on top. I screw the slider directly on the tripod. I like it because you can get really low and since the legs stretch out really wide, I get very stable shots with it. I use the iFootage Komodo K5 fluid head which can be seen in this video: ruclips.net/video/had8i3BoTok/видео.html (I show it in detail at 02:40 there)
