Happy birthday, Amy! Wishing you a fabulous year ahead. As usual, loved all your stitching. Your stocking turned out beautifully, as did the cute reading dragon. The Favourite is such fun. Nice to see one of your doggies today. As to the red Santa, he does pop in red but if it's not your fav colour, then definitely do him in something else. You could make him a woodland Santa and carry the colour of his boots (look like browns on screen) into his clothing. Or even darker wine toned or rich purples. Or dark greens. You've got a great eye for colour so I'm sure he'll turn out beautifully, and it will also make the piece unique. A lot of the European Santa/St. Nicholases are in different colours. The card you got with the frog warming his toes in the tea is so cute. If there is a pattern like that, would definitely be a fun one to stitch. Take care, Arleen

Oh Amy I get so excited every time you put out a new video. You keep me enthused about stitching and I love the same style as you. Seeing your B. R. Moth got me excited to start mine. I love your fabric choice. I was thinking of doing mine on more of a rust like KB did but not sure now. As far as Hannah’s stocking, why don’t you ask her what color she would like for him to be.

Happy birthday! I think you are wise to put that cross stitch piece in your ufo book. Life is too 46:05 short to struggle that much. I would stitch the name branch and christmas tree and then see if you can find a blue or green for Santa. Imhave several books and sants is not always red. Thank you for sharing.

Both of Ashur’s stitches look fantastic! I think you were right to UFO that chart if the fabric was making you dread picking it up. Life’s too short & you have so many other fabulous options! Don’t waste a minute on the duds. As for Santa, think blue. You’ll have the green of the boughs and you also just had a boatload of nice greens in Ashur’s stocking. So pick a pretty blue for the suit and enjoy the stitches. The stockings will look great near each other, too. ❤

The Favorite is one of my favorites of your projects. I am so sorry for your loss of Nelly. Everytime we lose a dog, it leaves an ache in my heart. We just adopted a rescue chihuahua mix. She is so cute, fearless, and a cuddle bug.❤ Think of the tree on Symphony as another version of a brick house. Ha, ha, ha. Because the Santa on the stocking is wearing the iconic suit I think it would be weird in another color. Maybe find a darker red or burgundy that you can live with. Just an idea. Loved seeing Mija and hearing Squirt munching!

Oh your fabrics are nice, I like the browns as well. If you don’t feel like starting don’t do your f coverage or something else. I have problems with it cos my bday is dec 31 so doone for my bday, or new yr or both. So. Usually I dont do either. 😂 oh I have the dimensions bottles on started yrs ago, didn’t like the fabric so have to restart. Love the shirt! Wish shipping wasn’t so crazy from the states, or maybe it is just as well. Lol leave his suit red! If he was a different country santa then yea but hes a reg ole santa. Have a great day!

I've decided for NEXT year to do a whole bunch of kits and things I've never done before, dimension gold, riolis, etc, a stocking. I actually today put that Santa and fox stocking on my wishlist! I can't wait to see you working on it.

Hi Amy. When you showed Stony Creek's The Power of Love I got all excited. I have had the pattern for about 3 years sitting in my stash. A couple weekends ago, I decided that I wanted to make it a leap year start, so I pulled all the DMC's for it. I ended up not starting it in the end, because I wanted to change the greens up a little bit and got myself into analysis paralysis 😂
Did you end up starting it for your birthday?
I didn’t start it yet. I started a needle book instead. I am thinking of starting it this year though. 🥰 🥰
