    D has nice, warm skin tones and doesn't throw off the white balance of the shades too much.

    D for me. My eye was instantly drawn to it. The others seem to add a green tint to the image, especially on the subject's shirt.

    B and D both made his skin tone look the best IMO, D would be what I would choose

    I always like watching your videos - jam-packed with information and never feel lengthy! I like B and D the best, but my initial gut reaction was D. I liked the more magenta feel versus A and C, which felt more green to me.

      I appreciate the feedback and support! I want to people to learn, rather than be entertained. D is my go to choice, but I will say it is nice to hear why people choose a certain look.

    Off the top of my head, I'd go with Lut C, it looks the most natural when in quad-splitscreen.
    Other question: How about substituting the 600X Pro + Light Dome combination for a Amaran F22C in those tight spaces?

  • @DaveBurns88
    @DaveBurns88 5 месяцев назад

    Good stuff man! I'm in the process of shooting a mini doc now and have been following your Rancher doc series. Its fun to see how you are approaching all the different scenes and doing so on the fly. That is how it has been for us not knowing where the school wants us to interview the teacher so we ended up trying to be prepared for whatever gets thrown are way. Thanks for sharing all of this!

    As ever, great stuff Mr Mokry.
    Really do like the False Colour testing, as well as the camera settings. To me, the breakdowns would be of less value without these two things, so very grateful that you are using this approach.
    Incidentally, do. you use Auto Focus? Personally i'm not a fan. Appreciate It's a great option to have, but generally i try to avoid it. Do you have a view?
    Am looking forward to the next one.

    Thanks for the video, Piotr. For this particular subject, I think LUT B looks best. Seems to have a bit more contrast in the face, while the other LUT's seem to have too little contrast. I think for this particular subject, more contrast is better than less contrast.

    As a fellow one-man-bander, I have enjoyed many of your BTS videos. Don't take my word for it, do your own research, but shotguns like the 416 aren't great for interior dialogue, especially when used in a kitchen where there are lots of hard surfaces. A super or hyper cardioid condenser mic is the way to go. I know Senny has one that matches well with the 416. I have a modded Oktava MK 012 that sounds like a Neumann (at a fraction of the cost). Also, those wind stoppers do take a bunch off the high end... Not a biggie with a male subject, but noticeable with a woman. Check out some of Curtis Judd's videos on interior dialogue.
    Keep on trucking and I will look forward to the next one.

    Question 😁 instead of the big rig, does a F21 or F22 not make more sense for the small space or would that not give you enough light. 🙏🏽

    so you dont consider this over exposing 2 stops? I have the phantom luts which do not over expose and they always come out WAY more grainy than when i do side by side shots with my +2 stops custom LUT.

    Hi. Is there a specific reason for you to put the wide angle lens to the camera closer to interviewer (you) and put the narrower lens to the farther camera?

    • @allen_bernardo_jr
      @allen_bernardo_jr 5 месяцев назад

      Personally I don't think there's necessarily a strict standard as far as the a-angle being tight and the b-angle being wide etc., I think it could just be a stylistic decision, basically as long as the focal lengths (and angles) are different enough (ie one tight and one wide), they could probably be interchangeable. *also depending on if one particular angle has more or less of the background you'd want to show then the other, which could also influence which focal length lens you put on the a and b cameras.

    Did you use ND filters here? I have this thing with my ND’s that I feel they give a blue-ish tone. Maybe they’re not the best, but just wondering

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  5 месяцев назад +1

      If you see the close up on the settings you see the internal electronic ND set to 1/5. These are tuned to the sensor, so no shifts.
