I would love your opinion on what type of lower back friendly carrier to get for a Snuggly-carry-me-put me down attitude young toddler. I'm so stuck between woven wrap, meh dai, and onbuhimo. Very likely to be used for around the house chore filled day. He's always on my hip as it stands now when he isn't napping. My arms are tired as he's approaching 30lbs 🤦. We live in a hot/humid climate most of the year.
What would be your pick to start with?

Ja! deze heb ik toevallig eergisteren besteld, hij kom vandaag binnen (wel in het saai grijs) om mijn man wat meer te motiveren om te dragen. Hij vind het dragen geweldig, maar de geweven doek te veel gedoe.

so, look into core issues a bit - women with core issues (which is many many more than we or even they realize) should probably not wrap any carrier around their middle. usually its much saver to anchor the carrier around the hip bones.

I'd love to read more about the background on this.. Any sources? Are you talking about issues like rectus diastasis?

@@Wrapyouinlove yes! tho we call it diastasis recti in the us i guess.
theres a bunch of resources! the tummy team is actually online core rehab! then fit2b kinda pairs with them, they have hundreds of tummy safe fitness routines and whatnot. they are amazing. they also have a podcast - fit2b radio - and they have talked to some really great people with all kinds of knowledge - lynn schulte, the vagina coach kim vopni, carolyne anthony, ... so thats a great list to start! :)

@@erickajen I've visited lectures and workshops on the topic of diastasis recti and babywearing and don't recall any of them explicitly saying to avoid tying over the tummy. It all depends on the treatment and comfort for the caregiver though what works best. If they are using a long wrap there are ways to add a low hipbelt to most carries

With a carrier like this it's harder as wearing the hipbelt lower places the child very low. So i could see people rather wearing it very high in a backcarry.
