Watching this inspired me to finally do mine. I bought my Challenger Scat Pack new in 2015 and found the pedals in the trunk. I've been putting it off due to all of the horror stories. I finally bit the bullet today and knocked it out. To anyone running across this who hasn't installed their pedal covers yet, I soaked mine in hot water for about 15 minutes before I started and it made the rubber a lot more flexible. I also dipped my prying tool into the water occasionally so that it could slide a bit easier. It was still a pain in the ass, but it did help.
Eh, I tried this a several other things. I dunno if my pedal cover is just half a size too small for the pedal it's supposed to fit on, but all boiling it did was manage to burn my hands trying desperately to stretch this thing onto the pedal. I think the correct answer for me is taking back to the dealer and telling them to put it on like they really should have from the get go.
