Phil Moore yes it will sum the signal and add the missing low frequencies that are lost from factory head units. The app also has a trademarked bass restoration feature, which is Pioneer’s version of Accubass..
What if your head unit is volume dependent.. does this mean you do the test at max... etc but then what about lower volumes. Thanks p.s anyone getting hiss from this unit....

Interested to see a stock head unit rta, then install this unit and run the rta again to see how much it corrects bass roll off. This is a lot cheaper than a JL Fix if it works just as good.
if they receive it they reproduce it. but they can't produce what they don't receive. basicly the same as a PA dsp system. they're basicly a crossover and equalizer in one.

@@jermainerobbins I used the left right wires instead of rca(Manual has pics)I talked with someone on reddit that is familier with audio and this unit.Using the wires was the better way to go for more control in my case. Unit works like a charm and made really noticable difference for sure. remember to set fader on headunit to 100% front after finishing and listening. Good luck!
I connects my iphone to DEQ-S1000A and makes my preference in audio route "car stero" mode and saves it. The moment I disconnect the phone from the DSP the set preference get resets. Is anything missing from my side or is my device working wrongly ?

Great overview and demo. I’m interested in a dsp that does what the Dayton 4 x 8 does, but offers more bands to play with for each channels independent parametric eq. Not everyone needs summing capabilities. And in order to get those added bands to play with , you have to purchase a dsp that has summing, which is three times the price. I know at that 300$ or under price point to have those features is unrealistic at this point in car audio, but I think it’ll get there some day. Anyways, you guys are awesome. Thanks for continuing to bring top notch content.

I literally just grounded it on the unit itself by unscrewing one of the body screws of the deq-s1000a a bit, and putting the wire behind it and screw it tight again.
Hello just wondering if you can help ive bought the Pioneer DEQS1000A-I and seem to be getting a huge amount of hiss.. even when my headunit is not connected. its not an digital interference hiss or ground loop it cannot be removed with EQ either.. the signal to noise ratio on the spec is good.. so no idea why its doing it 😞

likely nothing, the Pioneer DSP just mirrors the signal you feed it from the front speakers to the rear RCA outputs of the unit so you no longer have fade control.

The green is the parking brake.. Use a 2 or 3 pole switch... I use 3..and the grenn goes to acc... So add 12v power to power...green to acc and black ground. U have to pulse it.. So turn it on off on off... And bam... 4 pulses and the unit works great.... And yes Driod has full features... I am a Driod user... Son is apple... Did both... No loss
@@dnrink44 thanks. I'm telling you what I did to mine. I've connect the green wire to the ground (negative), like this the procesor is functional with the app all the time. Overall I don't like it. Because have just two channel input (front L+R or rear R+L), this means you have to choose which channel to give up and lose the information sent by that channel. You lose some factory warning chimes and parking sensors chimes. On my bmw e60 each parking sensor comunicate individual with related speaker ex: front /left pdc with F/L spk., front center pdc with both front L & R spk., on rear the same. No auxiliary input, no Bluetooth. My factory unit isn't sending a full range signal, because is designed to protect the speakers from low frequency, and this processor isn't restoring the restricted frequency. I had to buy a bass restoration processor, because all frequency under 50hz was reduced, all under 40hz was cut off completely.... So yeah, not so good for modern or complex factory headunits.
you need the pioneer micro bypass relay they sell on Ebay and Amazon. It will work with the green just grounded but some menus and features won't be available without the bypass relay.

This dsp has 2 channel rca in as well as a 2 channel hi-level input (the orange and brown wires in the harness) lc7i has more inputs and can sum high-mid-low frequencies, but no sound processing other than their accubass technology. If you need more than 2 channels of input, you could use an lc7i to sum your signals and then feed a full-range signal to this dsp via RCA so that you can fine tune your system EQ, and also benefit from all the other features of the app

There is a difference, if u are using a factory HU. But with aftermarket HU, am not sure. This is a budget dsp from pioneer for the people who doesn't want to change the factory HU sue to obvious reasons.

@@speakerzedan103 there is an option to update/sync the settings. It's in the right top or bottom of the sound tune screen. Am not able to remember it. All the phone models won't support by the app to access the processor settings. Recently I changed my phone to Oppo realme and not able to access it.

Yes you could you can also split the front signal as long as you are not using any processing on the headunit side

Look at the Rockford Fosgate DSR1. Dean and Fernando already did a video of it.
Its pretty hard at that price point but the dsr1 has like 30 bands per channel

rice kake it’s rated at 14 watts x 4 rms and 50 watts x 4 peak power. Realistically it’s going to only be around 14 watts a channel.

I had to get a Metra harness and cut into the front speaker outputs for a signal. Wish I'd just got the Metra Axxess DSP instead.

you input your factory front channel speaker level and it mirrors it to output front / rear then a dedicated sub channel.

All the phone models won't support by the app to access the processor settings. Recently I changed my phone to Oppo realme and not able to access it.
