Dmitry Pirog's last fight against Nobuhiro Ishida,a back injury ended his career while he was training to fight GGG. Ishida went on to fight GGG and was KO'd in 3 rounds. Pirog retired undefeated 20-0 (15 KO's). He KO'd Danny Jacobs in 5.
After watching these fights it wouldve been interesting to see pirog and ggg. GGG this guy in 2 rounds while pirog struggled. Pirog knocked out Jacob's as where ggg struggled.
One of the best fights I have seen from Pirog. Great Performance. Kirkland got his ass whooped by Ishida and Paul Williams (God bless him) couldn't make a clear job on the Japanese. Pirog almost destroyed him.

Thanks man, you are real boxing fan, couse you do not give subjective opinion. Martinez can not be taken lightly, the fight between him and Pirog will be intence, and anything can happen. I think we all want to see that fight, for some reason Sergio does not give his consent for the fight, but I exclude the version that Sergio is afraid.
Don't forget Golovkin man his win against Proksa was so impressive !! I was not a Golovkin fan because I think he was fighting against old or class B fighters but since his fight against Proksa, I'm sure that he's the best middleweight in the business today. Give him Martinez, Chavez, Pirog or who you want i'm sure the end would be the same.. A KO or a TKO win for triple G !
after seeing what danny jacobs did to GGG... i say pirog would have beaten him and then pirog would have also beaten canelo...what a tragedy... the boxing fans dont even know a future legend has fallen
darthclone7 yeah danny jacobs hurt GGG a number of times, meanwhile the same jacobs could barely land a flush punch on Pirog. Jacobs, Canelo and GGG are all on the same level and depending on how they were on the night they could all defeat each other. Pirog is on a different level and could have absolutely defeated Canelo and GGG. how did he break his back is the question? Larry Holmes said the King threatened to break his legs if he didnt roll over in one match. Frank warren is no less dodgey (got shot by someone couple of years back). The gangsters and banksters have always been into this sport. maybe someone did Pirog in?
@@mrblobby6284 lol GGG was not hurt in that fight....and this is taking into account the fct that Jacobs weighed 185lbs (which he confirmed) - outweighing ggg by 12/13lbs....Jacobs wasn't huge as he was in the Pirog fight

I heard he injured his back hitting big tires with a sledgehammer. Too bad he never fought GGG

@@anthonypesqueira7540 jacob looked like he would've gotten up against pirog, that or maybe jacobs learned from his loss so he could take GGG better.

Pretty obvious Pirog was just playing with Ishida and could have finished him at any time.

if pirog doesn't defeat golovkin the first time, I would almost guarantee he would win the rematch.
