This is actually pretty cool to operate. Only worth it if you have a lot of uneven ballast sections. Ours on CN had 3 ballast hoppers between the 100 and 200 unit to carry ballast from one site to the next.

This is a Ballast Distribution System, which is actually two machines, a BDS-100 and a BDS-200, working together.
