    I'll give you some tips.
1- Best relief is keeping ice cold water in your mouth specificaly wherever is most itchy. Huge relief!!!
2- Pick a side and pull them out from the inner-side of your mouth on your wisdom teeth, and it easily peels off of your teeth.
3- Try to keep ur upper and lower jaw seperated, the less ur trays touch each other, the less u feel ur teeth. I know it is kind of tough but by biting ur trays u make ur teeth and gum more alert and sensitive against pain. Not letting ur trays touch each other helps pretending that they r not there.
4- In my case, on the 4th day (after the 3rd day of teeth, jaw and head aches) I realized it started to cause more pain to not to have them on. So try to keep them on as long as u can.
5- Don't try to give your teeth a moment of relief by taking your trays out even for one second because your teeth lean more on going to where they were rather than stay where they r. So you would cause urself longer periods of pain in return of a second of relief.
Peace ✌️ I hope ur experience is less painful and annoying than mine.

I am on tray 2, weekly changes. The first week was horrible. Probably by day 6 it was getting better. I heard that the longer you keep the aligners in, the quicker the pain passes, so I got minimum 22 hours a day. Changing into my second tray I was petrified that I would experience the same pain, but it was just slight soreness. Hopefully it continues in the same way.

I am 59 and just got Invisalign. I am on day 5 and the pain is not joke. Dentist said to take Tylenol instead of Advil because Ibuprofen can impede the movement of the teeth. Tylenol is not even touching the pain. So I take the Tylenol, then about an hour later I just take 1 Advil and I have been using warm compresses on my face. Supplementing with the Advil is the only way I can stand it and the only way I can sleep. Good news is - if it's hurts it must be working, that's what I tell myself lol

Why do people think Invisalign will be less painful? Because Invisalign themselves actually claim this in their advertising. It's really disingenuous.
I would still have done Invisalign anyway had I been properly informed, but I don't think it's fair to mislead customers only to have them be so unprepared for first week of pain that they question of they've made a terrible mistake.

I realized my teeth reverted due to me not wearing my retainer so years later they shifted back. Well i put my trays back in thankfully i only have to do 7 top and 11 bottom.
One thing i remembered the dentist telling me to do was keep my trays thank goodness i did..
Once i finish this time I'm wearing my retainer the full year no joke. Plus as you mentioned every few days. I had no idea how important this step was as i only had very little shifting of my teeth and thought they wouldn't revert.
Well, I'm no longer in pain thank goodness I'm on day 4 tray 1. I'll keep them in 14 days and switch to the next trays.

Day 1 evening was bad pain when removing the top aligners because I have many attachments and elastic bands, however day 2 next morning I couldnt get the top aligner out I was in tears from the pain.. finally out and teeth were hurting so bad. Had my breakfast and put the aligners back in with great difficulty. Again at lunch time couldn’t get the aligners out easily. Tried every technique. One trick I now use is swishing warm water in my mouth before removal, as it helps expand the tray and maybe loosens in. And before putting the tray back in, run it under warm water to again expand it and then insert. It’s still difficult but there’s a slight difference. Another tip is don’t rush it, take your time easing them off. Start from the inner back, release the tray tooth at a time. Push your teeth inwards with your fingers to help it come off the attachments. I am also feeling depression about not being able to snack when I want :/

I am on my 3 tray and I can feel the soreness but it's not bad at all also I can tell my teeth are starting to move. And I really think it depends on the correction of your teeth you are trying to make

    • @TrayMinder

Great point - depends on each person’s pain tolerance and amount of correction involved.

i wouldn’t take them out extra early, just eat softer foods, this is because the more frequently and the longer time you take them out the longer it will take because the progress your teeth have made will reset.

Is it normal to have cold sensitivity in a few teeth after starting Invisalign? It's like a shock of pain to drink anything slightly cool.

I have Invisalign and I fell off really bad because executive dysfunction (autism+adhd). Now I’m being forced to do them again by my mom and I’m trying to find a way to eat without being in pain. The pain never goes away for me mainly because it’s the feeling it leaves after being taken off that irritates me and becomes painful to my brain. Might not ever eat properly with them which sucks but I have no choice in doing them or not because garbage parents
Any advice from anyone for this?
