Absolutely the best video review of the Lite & the Spark editions! 💪 Explains the differences, the why's & enabled me to decide which version to get. I wanted the option to use my Bias Effects on the PC or my Spark, so I'll get the Lite model for $80 more.
This is so cool! Have you used the Looper feature on the Airstep Lite - with Spark? I was considering for a looper feature to complement the Spark Amp set up...
Thx for the video, I have the spark mini and I went for the cheapest option. Sure, that locks me in, but to me the setup is basically just a relatively cheap option to try out Amps+Pedals w/o spending a bucket-load of money on gear early on. I learned classical guitar as a teenager for a few years, then went on a hiatus for more then two decades and then decided to pick up guitar (this time incl. electrial) as new year resolution for 2023. So for simple home practice and to try to learn riffs or solos from songs that I like, that setup should be more then enough. Esp. given that I live in a small apartment and don't want to terrorize my neighbours. If I end up not sticking with it, the money drain wasn't too big and if I do I can always upgrade in the long run when I learned more and still keep the airstep+spark mini combo as a a pretty portable holiday/relative visit combo. For playing white christmas on a electric guitar solo at my parents home I don't need a big amp or a huge pedal board anyway.
Wow! You really did a great job, explaining how to use the airstep with the spark. My only question is, I'm trying to use external pedals with my Airstep and the spark, but I can't find the correct midi settings to control something like volume or Wah. If you have that information that would be great. Thanks again for the video.
Normally,BT in spark use for connecting IT devices,so to do this air step should connect by usb line..i think.but if we use BT + air step , we can connect audio from any devices to spark amp via aux in as well ,Thanks for awesome video
Thanks for this great Video. Is it possible to connect an external pedal to control the volume on Spark Positive Grid. I have a Spark Positive Grid an a xsonic Airstep.
Hey Dave STILL CANT GET THIS Airstep spk lite edition to connect to the amp. when I forget the amp the audio disappears also. the whole amp disappears? Maybe PG got wise and changed something?
Bought the simple Spark model. So disappointed that the amps on the app screen don't change to the new amp after changing to the next amp with Android. It only changes to the next screen/amp with IOS😢
Trying to wrap my head around this. With the Airstep in play, what is the process to go in and tweak or change a signal chain for any of the 4 available presets? Thanks. Great video.
Could you please do a tutorial for Markus King sometime? Preferably Wildflowers and Wine or 8 AM. His guitar playing is so incredible but I can’t find good tutorials for them because none compare to yours ahaha
Hi, thank you very much for your video. It is very useful. One more, I am interesting very much for your tablet also. Can you tell your tablet me model #?
Yes you can. It’ll be whatever is stored on your Spark. So save a tone from cloud onto your spark and then you’ll have access to it from the footswitch
It's funny how you watch everything you can watch about something then buy it then find one video that tells you all about the limitations it has, which are usually exactly what you need.
You can get the spark edition of this footswitch for $99 if you just want to use it for the amp. Very handy tool, just depends if you need a footswitch or not. Not particularly a must have if you’re fine switching tones by hand
I purchased this pedal back in October of 2021. They promised a November firmware update that would "provide full compatibility with the SPARK Android app and SPARK Amplifier at the same time". It's late February 2022, and they just emailed me back that their November 2021 firmware update "should" arrive by MAY of 2022. Honestly, this 3rd party pedal will never be able to log in to the SPARK amplifier and the SPARK android app at the same time. In contrast the SPARK CONTROL Pedal from Positive Grid, offers full SPARK amplifier and SPARK android app compatibility at the same time, for the same price right now!
I must be a damn idiot man. None of these videos have helped me figure out how to get to these 3 modes. I can’t get multiple lights on, I never see green flash, I can’t find as many effects as everyone else seems to. How in the world has everyone figured out how to use this thing without instructions? Apparently, it’s so easy that there doesn’t even need to be a video on it. I have just basic presets 1-4 but I have no idea how to do anything with that right button or change modes. You’re in mode 2 and 3 without even showing how you even get to it? Am I really this stupid?? Lol
You’ve taught me so much about guitar! The fact that I’m not afraid to record myself playing songs now is all thanks to you!
I am a guitarist living in Japan.
I am very grateful. Your explanation was very easy to understand.
And moreover, you are a great guitarist.
Thank you!

been thinking of getting the amp and adding a looper pedal, but this seems like its become the complete package (at least for beginners, like me)!
also, you are AWESOME !!! learning so much from your tutorials and getting reasonably good
Thanks for this great Video. Is it possible to connect an external pedal to control the volume on Spark Positive Grid.
I have a Spark Positive Grid an a xsonic Airstep.
all is great but when we will be able to use the foot switch without the app ???
Try looking up the airstep Spark pedal. I believe that works without the app
Why don‘t you play while stepping on a toggle? Is there a gap when switching?
First time saw a ring on your ring finger... Congrats!
Hey Dave STILL CANT GET THIS Airstep spk lite edition to connect to the amp. when I forget the amp the audio disappears also. the whole amp disappears? Maybe PG got wise and changed something?
can it still be connected when exiting the application..thank you
Bought the simple Spark model. So disappointed that the amps on the app screen don't change to the new amp after changing to the next amp with Android. It only changes to the next screen/amp with IOS😢
i did what you said disconnected the spark from ipad then turned on the airstep but it will not pair with the amp it just flashes blue
Trying to wrap my head around this. With the Airstep in play, what is the process to go in and tweak or change a signal chain for any of the 4 available presets? Thanks. Great video.
Disconnect the airstep, connect the app and tweak . Then reverse. The point is you tweak your patches first then just use the airstep.
Great video! Super easy to understand.
Hi can you advise on how to set a program which has that Hank Marvin sound? Thankyou
Hi how do you connect via Bluetooth just bought the Spark control footswitch.
Could you please do Beth's Story from the Queen's Gambit? Thank you!
When will you be reviewing the Postivie Grid footswitch which is about to come out?
When I get a chance to get my hands on one, they sold out pretty quickly!
Thanks mate had no idea this existed
Just placed my order for one
Cheers
Could you please do a tutorial for Markus King sometime? Preferably Wildflowers and Wine or 8 AM. His guitar playing is so incredible but I can’t find good tutorials for them because none compare to yours ahaha
can you use that on the Spark Go?
Hope soon they overcome the limitations and make a version or improvement wich can have the app turned on . . .
I only want to use it to change presets I have stored in the four banks but even without the app open it wont connect to the amps bluetooth?
Hmm that’s strange, you may need to contact xsonic with a video to demo and they might be able to assist you. Good luck!
Really love the channel... Awesome!
Hi there , I have a question, what is the name of the song the u played here 3:37 , thank u

Yes you can. It’ll be whatever is stored on your Spark. So save a tone from cloud onto your spark and then you’ll have access to it from the footswitch
@@GuitarZero2Hero in that case, I’m buying one now! Thanks!

Any work with the pedal I believe. I have the smaller boss loop pedal and it works just fine
hey we have the same amp I've gone to your channel for a lot of lessons
for 260$ is it in your own opinion is this a must have for the spark amp
