Shai has a Donic sensibility to the game in terms of footwork and change of pace, as well as being a natural willing passer. His employment of the Donic deceleration (with a bit of Kyle Anderson slo-mo in there) hitch makes him unpredicatable and works against athletic defenders. This is the equivalent of Messi's bodyfient for my futbol fans. He also has D-Wade post-intelligence and Demar DoRozan acumen midrange game. This is someone whose entire game seemed to be an amalgamation of some of the best guards in the NBA. He deserves props for studying the game meticulously because when he came into the league he didn't have everything in his toolkit as he does now. Same as Jimmy Butler and Demar are on a similar vien in terms of players who had to fashion their games anew in concert with fundamentals and complete exhaustion of nba rules.

@@themack5131 I don’t get the Ant hype. He’s good, but nowhere near the best. Steph, Shai, Devin Booker, Zach Lavine, Damian lillard are all better for example. What makes Ant so good when his stats are typically like 22-3-5 or around that?

Look at there record and look how clutch he has been in alot of those wins so far this year on the moves he has hit to be clutch. you have to actually watch the games and how he puts his emotions into each game and how his game resembles he who shall not be named.
SGA and Ant are the two best guards in the league right now and both are only getting better. Steph is still terrific but he’s past his prime and is a defensive liability. Luka is an MVP candidate every year but doesn’t play defence. His play style, despite his numbers, is not as conducive to winning basketball long term as the kind of ball SGA and Any play. Luka plays too much iso ball and holds on to the ball too long. ‘Sticky fingers’ they call it. Same reason Carmelo and Iverson couldn’t play longer in the league when they got older, because they didn’t move the ball without hesitation. Everything goes through Luka, whereas SGA and Ant will cut off the ball, play off the ball, make the extra pass without thought, and play defence. To me this all makes them better than Luka. Oh and I rarely see SGA complaining to the refs. Luka hurts the culture and buy in of his team/teammates because he complains so much. This is understood by guys who get team chemistry and it’s tangible effects on how everyone else plays.
