I'm a Geoff gal at heart, but Eli's run in the final verse is absolutely gorgeous. Layne really knocked it out of the park with the beatboxing, and everyone looks like they're having a great time. Humor, skill, a fresh arrangement of a song that gets everybody up and dancing - what more can we wish for?
I love everyone's expressions. You can tell how enthusiastic they are, that they're just having a blast.
Yep, there's that signature VoicePlay delight in music and delight in wowing everyone! Love them so hard for this. I'm seeing it after spending hours last night with "Creep" on repeat. Which is also amazing but couldn't be more different, this is like the antidote to Creep.

Another instant classic. Cesar's costume is amazing, Eli's expressions are pure gold (especially the eyebrows in the final cackle) and Layne's eye gag doesn't get old. Anthony is always a treat, and Geoff is Geoff.

Eli ( pronounced ELLIE) is a rock god. No one can tell me otherwise
So much to enjoy here, Anthony's wonderful lower range, hearing Layne in the vocals - truly eye popping, Cesar's pirate accessorizing, Geoff being the best fog horn found on any ocean, Eli's voice never fails and his laugh at the end just tops everything off. It does seem a shame that Navy bound J couldn't make it to the sea shanty party.
I was lying in bed about to sleep but when I heard the last notes of the low voice I literally jumped out of bed and screamed WOOO. Unreal.
Layne is not getting enough recognition for the absolutely legendary beatboxing in this video. So many unforgettable moments in this. I can’t get enough of this group!

This is, hands down, THE BEST version of Wellerman I have ever had the privilege of hearing. You've taken all these repetitive verses and given them each a character of their own. I simply can't get enough of it!!! (I was hoping it would list in the description, as you usually do, who arranged it...?) *ETA* Thanks for the update! I could have SWORN this was a Geoff Castellucci arrangement. Doesn't surprise me in the least to see "creative direction: Layne Stein" in the credits though. 😅

Damn, between Geoff's bass singing and the bald man's run at the end of his turn, this is amazing. I love the variety of voices, but Geoff and the other guy are my faves.
Layne's 'taking the temperature of the water' side eye toward Geoff during the 'he'd take that whale in tow' line is subtle comedy gold.
this is such a delight, but i think the thing that made me giggle most was the idle thought of "what box did eli have to stand on to be taller than geoff?"
I absolutely cannot get enough of these gentleman! Lane is a beatboxing monster, Geoff's style and ability to shake our souls, ceasers personality and energy mix so well with Eli's ability to hit the high notes and his super expressive face. All of this just makes for a group made in heaven! Great job guys!

Wonderful! Each voice is totally unique and yet together they blend perfectly. And they emote. Some acapella groups sing really well but they might as well be singing a shopping list. Truly a gifted group.
So great to hear them each get to be center - love being able to attach the sound with the singer!

Elie jubilates like an evil angel... Absolutely fascinating vocal power and controle. I so enjoyed the comedy ideas in it and the switch from singer to singer via the hand zoom in and out again. It's a true piece of art actually.
In spite of the bad of a time of commonly killing whales, it is wonderful fun, food for thought and music to hear this testosterone clad expression. Such seems rarely enjoyed these days. Our loss.

Just seems unnecessary for making your point when it causes some to feel like they're riding an eloquent golf cart down a BMX trail.
