Arthur C. Clarke has a great play on the star of Bethleham in his "The Star" which can find many audiobooks uploads on youtube(including a reading by Arthur C. Clarke himself)
The star of Bethlehem need not have been an astronomical feature. It could just as well have been something supernatural that only appeared to be a star.
I'm starting to feel like stars are alive, look at Sirius, and having witnessed close up plasmoids or plasmalogicals as i call them, it has some kind of connection, not sure but it feels that way. Fun to speculate and contemplate.
My understanding is that it took the Magi a couple years to find the baby Jesus. After seeing Harod, He (Harod) became obsessed in finding the child who was to be king. He ordered his army to start murdering every first born male age 2 and younger. Mary and Joseph was "visited" by an angel who warned them of what was happening so they could escape to Nazareth I believe. The Magi didn't find a newborn, they found a toddler. I me tion this because if they had truly been following a star, they would have been following the star for an extended period of time. That is if I'm remembering Sunday school lessons..
“When they saw the STAR, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” 📖 Matthew 2:10-11 ✨⭐️✨✝️✨💕🙏🏼
You will find out soon enough. Soon our souls will be required. I will stand with Jesus Christ. The Word. He wasn’t derived from Scripture, He is the Truth of Scripture. He is the incarnate Word. And it doesn’t take a slide rule to figure this out. For example, I was born in one town, grew up in another, and now I live in a different state. So all three can be said that I hale from.
Omission of the ancient Indian astronomy who predicted accurately the movement of stars and planets and the eclipses, is deliberate or because of ignorance ?

The star of Bethlehem is complete fiction, along with the writings of the so-called gospels. there may be a kernel of fact to the existence of Jesus but he would bear no resemblance to the god man they turned him into in these fantastical writings
As for Jesus being born in Bethleham - was he born in Navareth or Bethleham? Or, how abou the Galilee? Shoot, he was attached to these various places "according to scripture" Hence, he was derived from scripture - both Old Testament and even Greek Mythology scripture(see Dennie R. Macdonald's "The Gospel of Mark and the Homeric Epics", and even two more books after that! Luke and Virgil, and the the Dionysian Gospel!) I'd recommend The Gospel of Truth - Mathematics as the Holistic Viewpoint" which has two sections on Jesus Christ. The first section shows Greek Mythology and Jesus Christ as a Sungod, and then James the Just and the New Testament which explains that Jesus Christ is a Graeco/Roman Sungod overwrite for James the Just. James the Just is the real Historical Jesus Christ(Jesus Christ was never born in Bethleham/Navareth, because James the Just wasn't born there)

Trust the science they say.
The Gospels of the Bible are fiction.

The star is described as being in the east but Bethlehem is further west.

someday people will wake up and stop believing in fairy tales

Please never mix science (truth and knowledge) with religion (fairy tales and make believe).
NIBIRU. You failed to mention this obvious possibility!
This is all conjecture as far as I'm concerned. I, for one, do not believe until it is proven definitively.
Science can explain alot, Religion not so much
As a Scientist & Theologian, I disagree.
